Looks like you are comparing apples and oranges here, Ed. However, whether the cause is catastrophic chimney fire from a poorly maintained flue or an improperly used firearm, I see nothing at all "hysterical" about wanting to protect children.
No need to become hysterically involved in Flu-control, Ed. We need to do the very best we can to keep ourselves and loved ones healthy, get our flu shots, and take the necessary sanitation requirements...& .Be vigilant in rest & care, should we contract the flu. .I understand the intention of your question, Ed and I can appreciate your message. But, honestly....I'm fairly sure these are apples and oranges...aren't you?.......Peace....stay healthy!
I can see the link. It's preventative medicine; applies to both Flu and firearms. Vacination to prevent flu, firearms control to prevent shootings. Apples and oranges are both fruit. Let's be fruitful and endeavour to prevent both.
I would smile about this if I wasn't in a bit of a predicament. I have never had a flu shot and didn't see this year as being any different, however, my new grandchild due in March has a heart with a hole in it. The baby will need open heart surgery three days after birth. The doctor has advised that NOONE will be allowed near this baby unless they have the flu shot!,,wake up call for me. nothing to do with hysteria and I still don't want it, but It will be getting it.
In really old homes, why are the fireplaces sometimes sealed off?I noticed on the MLS listing a few really old homes built back in the early 1900s that have several fireplaces, but they are all sealed in with concrete....
