Where do you stand when it comes to an immigration reform
We must have reform for those who go through the system legaly, We must honor them by not giving entitlements to those who are not U.S. citizens.
Our government is caving to the demands of criminals. If we entitle the millions of illegals to free benefits our economy will eventually collapse. The people flowing into this country today are not the productive, hard working upwardly mobile Europeans who settled and developed America to her current greatness. We are facing a very different demographic, they are takers, not makers.
Patriot Quest and Waldo Numbly said it all and quite well. I could not agree more. BTW, I am the grandson of immigrants from Italy - my grandparents came here LEGALLY and worked their butts off to support their families. They didn't sneak in across the border and then get government "freebies" they didn't deserve. One other thing - "Immigrants" are people who legally immigrate to the United States - illegals are just that - illegals.
It doesn't bother me and it will eventually stop. The people from the former-Spanish provinces in those more equatorial hemispheres seem to adapt very well to US culture. The southwestern US (and Florida) are now experiencing the same type of immigration influx that the US northeast and midwest withstood more than 100 to 150 years ago. It's no different.
