Is the USA gov by the People for freedom to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?

The current administration of the USA continues to drive toward a destructive path through higher taxes, wild spending, and major discourse for the society.  When do you believe it will stop?  What do you believe it will take for this to occur?  How much faith do you have that the USA will return to a strong, safe, moral, and freedom supporting nation?

Elected by the people for the good of the people followed by current economic growth (best month in retail in US history) in comparison to economic decline under the previous administration.
The administration moves towards a path that has worked the world over in Scandinavia amongst others. One that has given greater, happiness, quality of life and prosperity to those places.

What does the best month in retail history have to do with life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?  Besides, 97% of the retail sales involved goods produced overseas which do not produce revenue for the USA.

It was intended to be. Through the years it has become increasingly worse. Our fore fathers are rolling over in their graves. "Politically correct" my rear. This has definitely been a downfall in American society.

The idea that "all men are created equal" and "the pursuit for happiness" all originates from the declaration of independence. Throughout the various administrations these ideas have been attempted to be maintained however "happiness" was distorted to mean money and wealth. This excessive materialism caused by this desire for 'happiness' arguably caused the Great Depression and has been how America has been since, a society based around consumerism, materialism and competition. The excessive wastefulness and the growing inequalities between the rich and the poor will surely obstruct this path and administrations following this one will be forced to raise taxes in fear of the growing public deficit.

Thankfully we had FDR and the New Deal to overcome yet another GOP failed philosophy. WW II General and President Eisenhower even knew that to stimulate the economy we needed interstate highways. The liability to growth is the Tea Party!

Honestly, I do not believe that we will be able to pull ourselves out of our current state if we continue to sit idly by and watch all of our freedoms get thrown out of the window. I think that we did all of this to ourselves. Everyone likes to blame the politicians, congressmen, or the president but the simple fact is that WE voted these people in. We are their bosses and we pay for their big houses, cars, ect. We need to be the change that propels this nation into the great power it once was.

Once I stop laughing hysterically I'll answer your question.

Breathe, breathe, breathe...okay, I'm ready. How can you even ask a question like this after Bushy boy put us in an unfunded and idiotic war based on lies? This is the equivalent of saying the Tea Party is a diverse and integrated group. Dear me, I am baffled by those who have a shallowness not to look at ALL news sources and not just the drumbeat of hatred. Gee whiz, when Bushy boy was in office my IBM stock hovered around &70 - $80 per share. Bulletin, bulletin it closed out Friday at almost $225.00 per share. My pursuit of happiness, liberty  and freedom to say "NO" to assault weapons is alive and well and MY PRESIDENT is also yours, so to use Palin's own words, "Buck up or sit in the truck."
