Is President Obama doing a good job?
Is he fulfilling his duty as President of the United States or is he running for leader of the U.N.?
He is doing a terrible job in my humble opinion. "Leader of the U.N." - that's good. I just hope the GOP gets both houses of congress in 2014 and his (mis)administration is marginalized. I still cannot understand why 60,000,000 people voted for his reelection and why his approval rating hovers just under 50%.
I think he is doing a great job expanding the power of government, and nullifying the rights of private citizens. If it weren't for those racist Republicans he would be able to take his rightful place as supreme dictator of the land.
No. In my lifetime I have never seen such an assault on our constitution and our individual rights. It's quite frightening, really.
He is doing his job but, unfortunately, he is a committed ideologue and that is preventing him from becoming a great leader. History will laud him as the first African-American President and will remember his large electoral victories but comments on his leadership qualities will be glaring for their absence. He does not inspire confidence as a leader and has effectively, whether intentional or not, divided the country during his tenure as President. He had such an opportunity to succeed and there were many on the right of the political spectrum that were willing to give him a chance unfortunately his polices have had very negative effects on the nation and the people
By historical standards, I would say he is doing an average job. Unfortunately, he has failed miserably at meeting the standards that were expected of him, and promised BY him. He promised the most transparent administration, and he has fallen terribly flat in that regard. He was expected to be a political unifier, and he has not delivered. On the racial front, the first black President was supposed to signify the END of racial tensions, but that most certainly has not happened. Personally, I have been disappointed on all levels.
I've been very let down by his overall performance in office. He is very intelligent and well spoken, he could have brought unity if his thinking was less globalist, socialist and self-image centered. I agree with all the previous writers concerning his accomplishments to date.
I thought William Clinton would be the first ex-president to become U.N. Secretary. I really thought he would go for it. Now, Obama as U.N. Leader sounds possible because he is so popular throughout Europe. Not likely though!
I do hope he makes some positive headway over the next three years. The country needs a leader to move us forward.
