    Did Prussia have people of African origin in its army between 1914-1918?

    There is an implication that they were slaves, this can not be true. Slavery was against the law in Prussia.

    It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.  They were fighting a two-front war against two of the largest armies in the world while also fighting Britain at sea who had the largest navy.  The only way to do that is with manpower.  Given their alliance with the Ottoman Empire.  Besides, Africans actually did fight for Germany down in their province of East Africa.  They did that until the very end of the war.
