Why didn't George Zimmerman go with the Stand Your Ground law hearing?

If the hearing goes well, it could have save him the time and money to go through trial.

Because his counsel determined the law did not apply to him.

They did not feel this was the way to go with this case.

Excellent question!  My opinion is that you mustn't let this guy speak because his views, upon close examination, would have landed him right where he should be.  He's a hyper-vigilant person, the kind in your neighborhood who is watching for EVERYTHING, who knows all the comings and goings of EVERYONE. I've seen these people. They're wrapped up in their deep-seated fears, and to tell you the truth, they scare me more than any danger because they are danger creators!  They create an environment that produces what they fear. I've never been so frightened to be in New York as when I was with my Aunt and Cousin.  Coming out of a shop where my daughter worked on Broadway - Broadway, mind you, by the Marriott! -  they clung to me like little puppies, almost suffocating me, and wouldn't walk over to the next block to hail a cab.  When we got IN the cab, my cousin started confronting the driver telling him he was going the wrong way and she knew what he was doing because she saw a segment on TV (yes, she TOLD him that) that said that cab drivers in NY take you the long route to get to your destination so they could get higher fares.  (It was a one-way street; the driver had no choice!)  OIY!  So, these are the people I've experienced and generalize my view to Zimmerman whether it's correct or not.  It just seems HE fits the profile of THEM!
