Would you consceintiously object to fighting in the Vietnam War (If you were/are American)
If you were 18 in the US during the Vietnam War would you conscientiously object or would you sign up to fight for your country?
I personally would conscientiously object, I'm interested to see what peoples opinions are.
No, because Communism must be eradicated! In late January, 1968, during the lunar new year (or “Tet”) holiday, North Vietnamese and communist Viet Cong forces launched a coordinated attack against a number of targets in South Vietnam. The U.S. and South Vietnamese militaries sustained heavy losses before finally repelling the communist assault.
I'm past the age for service and women typically aren't drafted, but let's say I could still be pressed into service. I'd be a conscientcious objector for any war at any time. People will laugh, scoff, and insult me, but wars of any type go against my religious principles.
