How is long term unemployment effecting your job hunt when you are labeled overqualified?
This is a real life situation.
There can't be one answer which suits all situations as each individual has his or her own set of unique circumstances. The best strategy would be to be positive, keep trying persistently and don't bother about the irrelevant comments.
Of course, this feedback is important, so either you apply for the positions which match with your qualifications and / or give a temporary rest to your top qualification till you get back into the groove.
