How effective would this be in helping a 2nd world country improve economy?
I have this idea that might help some 2nd world countries better their economy. That is firstly, for their government to decrease tax for small business and then try to encourage small businesses in agriculture and manufacturing, by allowing rich 1st world countries to invest in small business here, by becoming silent partners shareholders. In the same time increase education standard in manufacturing, business and agriculture by finding ways to get educated from rich first world countries to come and teach in their university,
It would certainly be more effective than the standard economic aid, which mostly goes for big showy projects and little into the day to day infrastructure people need. So you get a stadium or huge new school but no new sewer and water treatment plants.
