I think the sole reason we elect politicians is to keep up a sense of ability to change for the average person. Sadly, most elections are pre-decided or not completely free, take the US presidential elections for example where it's ultimately a choice between two people.

We elect them, that is kind of like hiring them. If you hire someone, you can decide what they get paid. Is there a reason we cannot do this?This is just one of the things I am wondering about.I think about too much to put it on one page.
