Why is the USA being cautious about waging WAR against ISIL? Oil? Ghost of Vietnam? What?
France, Russia, NATO have taken the lead in acting against the IS. However, US seems to be on the backseat. Considering US's 'concern' for the world, Isn't it surprising?
The US is cautious about being dragged into another war for many reasons.
2. Our 2016 Presidential election. Each candidate is afraid they will be condemned for the stand they take, after the war in Iraq was started with wrong information.
3. Our country has always been the one that had wars waged against, that is when we fight back, (except for the Iraq war).
There are other reasons, but don't come to mind at the moment.
It is not oil, we finally have enough oil produced domestically to meet our demand.
To get the answer, call the White House, and Congress.
