    Why do people call other people nerds and geeks as an insult?

    Why do people call other people nerds and geeks as an insult? Isn't being smart a good thing? They are the future entrepreneurs of our society.

    Most nerds don't get offended when called a nerd or geek by someone else, especially if the person saying it is dumb as a box of rocks. Some "so called" nerds can be intimidating to certain individuals, that's because "so called" nerds/knowledgeable people READ BOOKS.

    Many men today want women that are smart, sexy, independent, etc. And women as well, want men that actually read and is knowledgeable about something positive. No one wants to be in a relationship where you can't ask your mate questions, because they barely know anything.

    Nerds/Geeks make the world go round!
