   Should any naturally forming drug or plant be illegal?
   
   If a drug's occurrence is natural then what is your opinion about the legality of these drugs.

   Just because it is natural doesn't mean it is good. The Black Death was natural - but no one wants it. There are many "drugs" that are toxic in moderate doses, and they have negative effects on the body if used for prolonged periods and dangerous if you use them and then try to drive or take care of others.
   That's why tobacco usage has been legal but marijuana not - smokers can usually still work while equally heavy stoners didn't.

   In my opinion, any drug that does not threaten the safety of other people should be legal, for the simple fact that we are free and responsible for our decisions.

   My personal opinion is that it is not any governing body's role to determine what a man or woman puts into their own bodies that is a naturally forming substance. The Christians that tend to dominate the legislative proceas of criminalizing plants and substances found naturally in nature are prohibiting man's right to partake of the herbs and plants as outlined in Genesis and placing themselves between God's instruction and mankind. Thus, acting as God.
   
   Of course meth and any substance that is isolated and purified in a laboratory would not fall under man's right to partake of plants and herbs for healing but anything that can be eaten directly as it grows shoukd be within our human rights to partake of as we see fit. It has never been the roke of government to control our choices that do no harm to any other person but may be harmful to only us. That is over reaching.
