If you are an NRA member or gun advocate, what kind of gun control do you support?
What we have today is at the limit of controlling guns, in that increasing control doesn't help, and it only punishes law abiding gun owners.
The problem is that the federal and state governments don't work together to enforce the laws on guns that we already have today. Adding more laws doesn't help if they are ignored.
Why doesn't the government put a major effort into enforcing the gun control laws, and integrating it into the homeland security task of finding and stopping terrorists.
99% of gun owners are law abiding. Half the gun deaths in the US are suicides. There are only a handful mass shooters. In the rest we find the criminal. The criminal doesn't care about breaking the law, and guns can be found from other criminal sources. Like Alcohol during prohibition. The current gun running business will just have more consumers.
Focus on why people are killing themselves and maybe it will save more lives from gun deaths than any other method.

The NRA leadership (not most of NRA members) currently sees Gun Control as a stark Black and White issue. The NRA et al think that ANY step to keep guns out of the hands of those who shouldn't have them is ipso facto an attempt to keep guns out of the hands of ALL citizens; this is the...

I know that many, if not all, of you are aware of the tragedy that took place at the midnight premiere of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado. The "suspect," James Holmes, "allegedly" shot 70 people, killing 12 of them, including a 6 year old girl. He had four weapons with...

The federal government could declare a state of emergency and post at least 2 well trained, armed personnel, either police or military, within our public schools. Gunmen attack soft targets. They like to assault "gun free zones." I believe 20 years of wrangling over...

I'm so sick of hearing arguments about guns and mental illness and bad parenting. What school meetings or city meetings would be a good place for people to go to express their concern?
