Will Trump's stance on Climate Change being a hoax destroy our planet if he becomes president?
How would a Trump presidency affect climate change if he denounces clean energy in favor of more oil/fossil fuel resources and plans to abandon Paris accord, the EPA, and other environmental organizations?
Who can honestly answer that?
What is really in the Paris Accord?
Lets be honest with ourselves here, we really don't know.
Any self-imposed restrictions mean nothing if we don't have the rest of the world complying with the same rules.
If we stop burning coal, that is good even if we have doubled our cost of electricity in the process right?
Well, not if China continues to keep burning coal as fast as it can be dug out of the ground, and five years from now we start shipping coal to China and instead of us burning it, they are.
It's all one small world, so whether it gets burned here, or there, it has the same affect on the air we breathe, on the ozone layers that protect us, etc.
Obviously, even if one doesn't believe we are responsible for climate change (and there are plenty of theories that show this has occurred throughout time, hot planet 100,000 years ago, Ice age 10,000 years ago) we are doing harmful stuff to our environment, to our water, our soil, with things like fracking that cannot be dismissed.
IMO the Paris Accords are more about moving us towards a global one world government, and about finding ways of taxing everything from corporations to individuals for the air they breathe/use, than they are about Climate Change... the Paris Agreement, and the Global Climate Change Tax.
