What are some ideas for a greener home, neighborhood, and downtown?
Use things like vinegar, salt, and baking soda to clean house. Compost instead of using commercial fertilizer. Don't spray for pests or weeds. Turn off lights and conserve water. Generate some of your own solar or wind power and give back to the grid. Use gray water for your garden. Plant native perennials for landscape because they promote a healthy eco-system and don't require much in the way of care or watering. Do a lot of walking and biking instead of driving when possible. Support local farms, businesses, community gardens, and clean up projects. Adopt a road or section of highway. Help your neighbors. Be kind to all living things in general.
