How will Americans benefit from the elimination of the individual mandate?
The penalty for not having insurance has been reduced to $0.00 through the tax reform bill.
There are many people who don't want insurance or who can't afford insurance. Obamacare forced them to pay a penalty for not being covered, and many couldn't afford that penalty either. We should not be forced to buy a product by the government. I'm happy to see the mandate put to rest. It was a bad idea from the very beginning.

I like most of Obamacare, although I still have reservations about the individual mandate. On one hand, I don't like the idea of people being forced to buy a product, but on the other hand, I don't like having to help pay for ER visits for those who don't purchase insurance.
