There were about 3,500,000 cataract surgeries last year, where unwanted bits of flesh were removed from people. Extended back over 44 years, that would be around 150,000,000 million surgeries. Perhaps the liberals can explain how such a travesty took place, and with a single cry of outrage at killing those bits of living flesh?
What would you like explained?
“Almost a million a year lately” makes it sound like abortions are on the rise when it’s actually entirely the opposite, abortion rates in the US have been dropping since 1980.
Of course the difference being my cataract surgeries didn't destroy an entire living breathing human being then being sold as human organs , limbs , spare parts and research material . And , the tissue removed from my eye's was then replaced by synthetic lenses so that I could see again , what of the death of the aborted fetuses ?
Since 91% of all abortions are performed at some point in the first trimester it is a stretch to make the claim of 'entire living breathing human'
Seen a sixteen week old fetus lately ?
Can't tell me they don't feel the pain of death.
Yes I've seen a fetus. Have you seen a full grown living, breathing woman? Do you have any compassion for another human being or is your ability to empathize limited only to potential life?
So, It's the usual "either or" for respecting women's rights? Average age is under 24 for abortions and mostly teens , that what you call a woman ? IF it's all about compassion what about compassion for those potential parents waiting in the adoption agency factories to the point they have to go to China -Russia ?
If you can provide evidence that up to one million qualified and competent couples, per year, are waiting to adopt you would have a compelling argument. Otherwise, you don't.
Arguing for the rights of the unborn, while consistently proving a failure to consider the well being of forgotten members of society, causes a head shake, at best. One million babies born whose mothers cannot, or will not, take responsibility for that new life would eventually result in up to one million new wards of the state each year. Most pro lifers are neither capable, or willing, to take responsibility for those lives. Considering the horror stories we hear of children in that system I'd think the ramifications of willy nilly shoving our moral inclinations onto others might bear more thought.
If looks counted it would be murder to kill any of the primates, for they all look more like a person than a 16 week fetus.
Can you tell the difference between a 1/3 gestation chimp fetus and the same human fetus?
Neither. Appearance does not a person make. Nor does DNA or birth mother, for that matter. Being a "person" is far deeper than that and we may find one day the "people" come in many shapes and from many different mothers.
Interesting that ! "....shoving moral inclinations onto others...." is only allowed a liberal function in our society ? Yet you would amend the constitution to shove the same morality onto gun owners says much about such hypocrisy .
Another interesting function no one admits much about abortions is there are very little records kept ! Most abortions are not even part of the structured and regulated health care industry but more factory health care .The numbers are pretty clear and proof for any arguments always lay in the numbers and facts . For instance in the US. -over one million abortions a year ,one to two million people waiting to adopt at any given time . 400,000 kids waiting , only about 135,000 actually adopted out each year, 60 % from the welfare industry ,then 15,000 otherwise voluntarily given up . Only 4% of pregnancies end up in adoption !
Pretty "workable" numbers all around to decrease abortions ?
Either way , A lot of room for "what ifs "there .
Not certain how you got that I wanted gun control out of that conversation. You are quite the leaper. Inaccurate. But quite agile.
I have one question. Why are 400,000 kids waiting to be adopted? If pro lifers are so worried about the quality of life? Don't you guys care? Or does your interest die away at the moment of birth.
Guess you're saying only pro lifers are responsible for rearing the unwanted ?
Gun Control - the controlling of some other's rights by liberals who're mostly non gun owners? Seems like there's a lot of hypocrisy to go around there .
LOL. I suppose making up a lie is easier than discussing the truth.

According to Huffington Post and Reuters, the Kansas House of Representatives passed a bill on Friday, April 5, 2013 on a 90/30 vote declaring that "life" now begins at fertilization. This is after the Kansas senate blocked the bill on a 28/10 vote. Republican and staunchly...

What's so terrible about being a Liberal? Why do many people, even Democrats, seem ashamed of the term "liberal," especially if it is applied to them? Are there any people out there who are liberals, and are proud to admit it? And do conservatives sometimes demonize liberals?

I think Pres. Obama's Immigration Reform speech was one of the best he has given. He touched on all the right points. And I like the content of his proposed action. Here is the speech:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeT_vu31eawBut... I also think it was a pure political move. I do not believe he was...

Can anyone explain why the tribe of Dan is not listed as part of the 144,000?Revelation 7:5 thru 8 list all the tribes of Isreal except the tribe of Dan. However in place of the tribe of Dan is the tribe of Manasses. Who is the tribe of Manasses and where did they come from?
