S.F.  ,mayor  "............We are drowning in human feces ....." Urine , needles , drugs , pollution ,   I have in the past chosen to blame Democratic leadership  in major U.S. cities  . L.A. , Chicago ,  NYC , Baltimore , Trenton , and been blamed for right wing bias ,...........if that is true ?
    Facts.
How does one explain that 70 % of these homeless were once citizens OF S.F. itself, an extremely liberal city run by liberals for decades  ?

-S.F has been primarily liberal county managed since 1960
-Right now 85 % vote lib.
    -70 % vote lib since 1960
    -Highest housing cost in US

San Francisco has always been full of bums. When I say "always", I'm talking about clear back to the 1850s. It's part of the city's culture. US Grant talks about this in his memoir. It apparently started during the gold rush when lots of educated sons of the upper-middle classes and others with no trade skills poured in to get rich. Few succeeded, most went broke and none wanted to learn to work. So they started hanging around hotels and gambling halls where free meals were served. They would hang out by the docks to ask people for money or food. Prostitution led to unwanted births. Moving forward in time, people often went to California to find success. But many failed and ended up drunk and homeless.

You just described the  Brown family , the Pelosi bunch , the Feinstein's  ,  I don't get it though , why are they still hanging around the docks when they have already stolen all the gold.?

I saw an article today about a full page ad taken out in the Chronicle there, by some woman, who was terrified at a Neiman Marcus cafe by a homeless person erratically opening and closing scissors. I pictured poor Edward Scissorhands. Harmless and misunderstood.

I've noticed the rich left is good at creating the problem and bemoaning the problem, but not adept at admitting responsibility, finding viable solutions or showing compassion on a personal level which results in helping to lift a human being out of poverty and misery. It's always someone else's fault and responsibility.

It's like Chicago. Big Democratic city, riddled with violence in the streets, disgusting brutality on the police force. No solutions and a powder keg waiting to explode.

Why liberals can never address the abysmal conditions of their cities that have been democratically  led  for decades and some for centuries is a" wake up call for " all of us .   If you're going to  dominate the voting in likely urban polls , you're going to accept responsibilities for the incredible urban failures like San Francisco .
