Liberalism's Stated Intent

   There was a radio talk show host I listened to years ago who said that “Liberalism always generates the exact opposite of its stated intent.”
   
   This was said years ago, and yet, it keeps proving to be more true every year.
   
   When it comes to gun violence liberals go on the warpath and scream about common sense gun control.  Whatever that is, as it changes from liberal to liberal.  They also want to ban assault weapons when most crimes are committed with handguns. I've never known a liberal who knew much of anything about guns, but that doesn't stop them from thinking, in their minds, they're experts.
   
   They think that new gun laws will prevent mass shootings and cut down on crime.  If that were the case, Chicago would be the safest place in the country.  Illinois has some of the strictest gun laws, and still has a high rate of gun violence.
   
   If places with strict gun laws still have some of the hights rates of gun violence, why would liberals believe more gun laws would resolve anything?

   More gun laws will only lead to more people getting guns.  Every time a mass shooting occurs, gun store owners are overwhelmed with a requests to buy firearms.  I recently talked to a gun shop owner who said gun purchases from his shop are up 200 percent just this month.
   
   They don't seem to have an answer on how to keep guns out of the hands of criminals.  Illegal guns are used in the majority of crimes in the country.
   
   I'm sure that liberals are shocked that school shootings occurred even after they put up signs and declared areas around schools to be gun-free zones. I guess the fact that someone wouldn't pay attention to this sign never occurred to them.

   These are the same people who were going to end police violence against black people by defunding the police.  They actually believed reducing police would decrease crime.  They were wrong.  Cities that embraced defund the police have experienced crime spikes of up to 150 percent or higher in some places.  More black people have died in urban areas as a result of the defund the police movement than ever died at the hands of police officers.

   Ever notice liberals never insist gun should be taken or removed from gangbanger and thugs who obtain their by stealing them or buying them on the black market and use them in drivebys murders in most of your liberal big cities and robberies in one form or another like car jackings. Does anyone really believe gangbangers and thugs will give up their "guns". Liberals/Democrats mostly what gun control directed at or toward good citizens. Notice Liberals/Democrats never mention gun control directed and gangbangers and thugs with stolen weapons or guns obtained through the blackmarket. You NEVER hear about that.
   
   Assuming for the moment liberals get what they want with absolute gun control and also defund police, then gangbangers and thugs will declare open season on the good citizens of this country.
   
   The way I define perfect gun control, is ones ability to hit what you aim at when there's a good and reasonable belief it is needed to defend yourself or another.
   
   Like the saying goes, I rather have a gun in my hand, than a police on my phone.
