Going off on a tangent of curiosity and some fun I sought politics and entropy. We know what politics is. Entropy basically is "lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder." I discovered several interesting articles for world affairs. One I link to below and is kinda' lengthy. One paragraph from it is:

"Contemporary international relations is moving toward a state of entropy. Chaos and randomness abound. . . . The increasing disorder of our world will lead eventually to a sort of global ennui mixed with a disturbingly large dose of individual extremism and dogmatic posturing by states. It is the result of the unstemmable tide of entropy. A world subsumed by the inexorable forces of randomness, tipped off its axis, swirling in a cloud of information overload."

Note: I had to look up ennui, which is "a feeling of listlessness and dissatisfaction arising from a lack of occupation or excitement."

Entropy is disorder, decay and dust.
I would say we go toward either order or disorder. One way or the other.
If there is entropy it is because we are lacking order. Order will right the disheveled mess of disorder.
    Do we loathe order?
    Do we fear order?
Do we hate to make things orderly, neat and organized?

OR do we like law and ORDER? It needs to be implemented.
A positive direction brings forth positivity, success and MOMENTUM toward L I F E.
A percolating economy is the natural result of a free market and it is facilitated by highways, waterways and skyways of freely transferred goods and services.

'Theories of International Relations allow us to understand and try to make sense of the world around us through various lenses, each of which represents a different theoretical perspective. In order to consider the field as a whole for beginners it is necessary to simplify IR theory. This chapter does so by situating IR theory on a three-part spectrum of traditional theories, middle-ground theories and critical theories."

PS This subject/discussion does not look so "fun."
Do we need world-order to fix the world-disorder?

... and prevent boredom, of course.

It all boils down to mindset.  Most people have a primitivism mindset of survivalism & tribalism.  It is the us vs them mentality.  Only a minute percentage of people have mindsets of the highly evolved universalist level.  Only a few people believe in thriving & living instead of merely existing.   Most people furthermore refuse to own their lives.  They believe that they aren't powerful enough to make a difference.  They have been inculcated in the slave mentality.  Yes most people are slaves who accept what authority tells them.  They contend that they are insignificant to the point of being personae non gratae.

They are of the school that they are unable to influence society or to make society better.  They believe that they aren't educated, rich, nor smart enough.  They are just....there so to speak.  They have been indoctrinated by their familial & other societal environments not to make waves & to accept what the powers that be do.   Many are extremists because there is a high sense of anomaly in their lives.  They have no voice so they follow whatever leader voices "their concerns."   People en masse are fearful of becoming powerful & being individuals.  They rather be part of the herd.

Boredom ends up being something only the individual, himself, can work against.
Oh no. Lets institute World-Order to prevent boredom.

"The increasing disorder of our world will lead eventually to a sort of global ennui ..."

          LOL
