There is a lot of media and political party driven misinformation (as if one was disentangled from the other) about what has transpired in Wisconsin.
I look forward to observing this experiment's results.
There is presently way too much misinformation already passed down through generation after generation, after generation, from media and politicians, accumulative for decades, so as to where the country(the citizenry) cannot see past their own self, because of inflamed opposition pushing all the right buttons, for change to come about.
It's a sad day in America and battle I fight.
What would you do, sit back and let them take it?
They already have 90% of all the wealth. 90% of the good life available only to them.
Should people just LET their rights as human beings be taken?
At the butt end of a rifle?
if we are all full of it, mis-informed and such, how would you know which battle is right to fight. I can tell you I sure do not any more?
The battle that has to be fought is equality and equal rights. It's unfortunate that too many people are confused about rights and what equality really means.
There are way too many people that think that Equality actually means "Entitlement", which is false. Too many people expect government to do way too many things and don't realize that government should actually be further from the life of everyone, so as to let the people breathe, live and maintain their freedom.
Unfortunately, the message is lost and must be made to see by someone who can actually see what's happening from an objective point of view. Otherwise, the division remains.
And, yes, I've taken it upon myself to be the one. And, no I am not seeking fame, fortune or even a political position. I am on the side of the people, their rights, their freedoms and prefer a more effective and efficient government, that knows it's place.
What is the objective reason for taking away collective bargaining?
You're funny.
You fail to realize that collective bargaining is just a tool, used to manipulate people into thinking that they are getting something of value.
It's dressed up as a compromise, even though one side hides the fact that it forced the compromise, while other people only think that they achieved something.
The objective to a collective bargaining is to give you a reasonable request. If that request is now going to cost more than one side is willing to give, it will be revoked by those in power, because they have the understanding that the country is already divided, and no unity can threaten them.
Your Words:
There are way too many people that think that Equality actually means "Entitlement", which is false. Too many people expect government to do way too many things and don't realize that government should actually be further from the life of everyone, so as to let the people breathe, live and maintain their freedom.
the words make sense to me here. I have always thought Goverment had to much power in personal affairs. People need space, dignity and purpose, not blindly being told what they need.
But to have a true Republic you have to be moral, and our Executive and Legislative branch's have always been at best questionable..
Colective barganing is not working for Americans, it is just like the Pelosi thing about we have to pass this so you can see what is in it!
The leadership does not tell the membership what they are doing, they just throw out emotional carrots to grasp at and thus the mass follows thinking they are gaining something thats not really there.
false doctrine, with a dime thrown in to look shinny.
I'm quite sure they did not elect Walker and those other RepubLicans to strip away rights....
And he wants abortion no matter what the circumstance.
Wisconsin has become a police state, for real.
Military Force used against the people. It is war.
And you see--they were fear-mongering that Obama was the one who would use the power of the State against citizens...HA!
Boy--were people mis-led!
This is no joke.
Serious crimes have been committed and ignored for far too long.
It's a stand-off.
Power vs The People
Are WE the power, like our Constitution says, or is Power our master?
I don't think we are. The People want the same thing. The Power wants to take it all.
Did the formation of the UFW represent and address the immediate and long term concerns of farmworkers in California?
If so, does this continue?
Were Dolores Huerta and Cesar Chavez cronies of some kind....or was there something different going on?
Or a huge walk-out.
You say you don't need workers?
See how far you get. NO ONE will cross that line this time like they did with the atc strike in the 80's.
Power has been way too greedy since then.
It's always been greedy. Are you just now noticing?
It was not such when I was growing up.
My dad worked. My mom stayed home. We had a house, a car, a good school, time off to enjoy life, money to enjoy life with....
There was respect for the common man then.
Not now......and my feeling is this: Once they shot the Kennedy Brothers, Martin Luther King and Malcolm X, it was ovah.
You're way too funny.
Simply look at the foundation of this Country and precisely where it is today?
Come on, wake up and smell the misinformation you've been spoon fed.
Yes, your family had things better, but as more people become homeless, there happens to be less revenue overall for other things. As more people lose their jobs and education tanks, what is going to happen?
People are going to believe that they are entitled to more things, when in fact that is NOT how equality works.
ya, I was going to say that, just saying [looks around wondering where she is?]
Did anybody actually see the text of the bill? Would be interesting to take a look.

I know being openly gay, coming out the closet, gay rights etc., seems to be one of the latest fads in today's society. But don't you think at times society as a whole (in particular Hollywood and the music industry since celebrities have the most influence on society) comes to the resuce to pamper...

Where in the Constitution is collective bargaining a right/Where in the Constitution is Collective Bargaining a "Right" ? It is a law passed by a legislative body, subject to repeal if the legislative body is changed after an election! Elections have consequences!

How many rights are American's willing to watch be taken away without a fight?Walker's backdoor dismantling of collective bargaining, Rhode Island's mass teacher firings, and Rick Snyder's Emergency management plan (you won't believe it if you haven't seen it). And of course all of this after a...

If you were King for a day, what elements of of the U.S. Constitution amd its Amendments would you want to see deleted, repealed, added, or mofified to make it fit more to the way the SIGNERS of the Constitution intended it to mean, given their philosophical druthers and not the political realities...
