Are people just following family tradition and voting one way or another? Is voting impacted by early calls by news casters for one party or another in western states that haven't voted yet?

States on the coast or with a large percentage of the population living in cities tend to be liberal, while rural- and suburban-dominant states tend to be conservative.

Somebody mentioned on another forum, something along the lines, that Dem's strive to deliver on people's values whereas Repub's prefer to deliver based on the bible. I think Dem's have it right, stick to modern practices and value's but what do I know, I'm Canadian tongue lol smile
