Romanian Not Gipsy

Romania is a country situated in the eastern part of the Europe. It has over 238.000 square kilometers and approx. 22 mil. citizens. It is considered a medium country.

In December 1989, Romanian people, satured of communism, started a revolution against the communism regime and against Nicolae Ceausescu who was they're dictator. The revolution started at Timisoara at first and then extended to Bucharest, the capital of Romania. The dictator was surprised by this unexpected hit. During his process he was referring revolution as a overthrowing of constitution with other states implications. On 22^ndof December, astonished by by the overwhelming crowd who was manifesting against him and his party, Ceausescu and his wife tried to escape using a helicopter. At Targoviste, they were caught, judged, then executed.

Romanians were happy because they were free. They were glad because they hoped at a better life. Since then things were not OK, because of the following govern. Corruption, abuse of power, fraud are just a few problems that Romania encounter in our days. Since the country's standard of life is going down, many Romanians emigrated in other Europeans countries such as (Italy, Spain, Germany) to work.

First of all the meaning of the word gypsy. Gypsi defines a person of any origin, who has a nomad habit of life. Some said that they firs appeared in England at the beginning of the 16^thCentury. They're origins are in Egypt or India. Since then they spread all over the world. Today we can find gypsies of any nationality.

I don't know how are gypsies in other countries but i know in Romania most of them are poor, dirty, thieves, beggars and pickpockets or worse. Some of them have connections in Interlope world. Of course there are some exceptions. There are some gypsies which are real humans. They have a beautiful home, an educated family, a successful carrier. But this only in particular cases. Most of gypsyes in Romania are not educate because they never been to school, or if they was they abandon it before graduation. Not having any qualification, thay cannot hire anywhere so they begin they're criminal life. In some cases gypsies have huge houses with 2, 3 or even 4 floors, they have a lot of money and gold most of them bought with money made from drug dealing, stealing, begging in other countries, prostitution and drug dealing.

Romania's principal problem is corruption. Those who have leading power make business and abuse they're political position to make profitable business for they're pockets. Politicians have facilities and salaries way to big. A lot of money which normally should go to country's institutions such as town-halls, schools, hospitals goes in fact in they're bank accounts through different affiliates. Things like this happens and from time to time mass-media discover such cases. But in one way or another those who should be in jail remain free.

Another problem is the price of facilities. Since there is no competition (for electrical power - as a good example) the price per unit is to high. You cannot do anything. You cannot quit using electricity. Population have to pay a lot of taxes, imposts, fees while the medium salary is very small. This is the reason most of them went to work in other countries.

The difference between Romanians ans gypsies is that Romanians went there to work while the gypsies went there to steal; and because of them Europeans have a bad opinion about Romanians in general. We are not racists but is they're fault for the bad image Romanians have outside. Imagine how would you feel if you are in a foreign country and you go in a super-market to buy something, and you see a large paper with the message: "before you leave please pay for your selected products" written in your native language. Everybody think that the majority of us are the same which is not true. Just because this race is born with inflectional skills in they're blood does not mean that Romanians are the same.

Gypsies from Romania changed call themselves rromi. Yes, that's right. With double r. Someone from Europe could easily be fooled by this. Rrom si not the same thing with Romanian. It is a big difference. In our country the gyspies are mean, all they want to do is to take other's money.

Of course not. I am not racist. The can live and do everything they want to do without any problems. Here, in Europe or in any other corne of the World, as long as we as nationality and humans, are not affected by the're acivity. It looks pretty normal to think like that when because of them, a whole country is disconsiddered by other countryes in a such manner.
