Texas Governor Greg Abbott Directs Fbi and Dps to Bring Democrat Legislators to Capitol

Wichita Falls, Texas native and Texas Governor Greg Abbott ordered FBI and DPS troopers to locate missing Democrat legislators and bring them back to Austin for the Special Session. Abbott hopes to pass significant legislation, but he can't do it without a quorum.

As of today, the Democrat legislators have refused to return to the Lone Star State for the vote. Abbott appeared on the popular Martha McCallum show on Fox News Thursday to discuss the frustrating situation. Democrats made the rounds of talk shows in Illinois and New York in an attempt to justify their exodus from the Lone Star State.

Abbott poked fun at the Democrats' destination states. He explained that the Democrats in those two states were some of the worst abusers of gerrymandering. For Texas Democrats to pick those two states to protest redistricting by the GOP in Texas was ridiculous.

Abbott's goal in calling for redistricting is to add five seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. The Texas governor criticized Democrats for being hypocritical: "The Democrats do the same thing in their states more often than we do in Texas." said Governor Abbott

The Democrat Exodus has landed in three areas. Eleven Donkeys stayed at various locations in Texas while other Dems trekked to Illinois and New York. The powerful FBI was brought in to search for the Democrats who are hiding in New York and Illinois. Abbott had to file in the Supreme Court of Texas to receive authority to put together this strong coalition of law enforcement agencies.

Democratic Representative Michaela Plesa appeared on the Will Cain Show on Fox News and claimed she would not return to Texas by
Abbott's Friday 5:00 PM deadline.

Cain asked her when she would return. She replied, "When Abbott and the other Republicans quit doing what Donald Trump tells them to do,"

Cain laughed and said "that may never happen."

He further said, "If you stay away much longer you may be charged with 'abandoning your job."

She answered, "I'm more interested with flood relief than redistricting.'

Cain responded. "I believe Governor Abbott has a bill for flood relief on the docket. So if you're not there to vote for it, how is that his fault?"

She shook her head.

"We're allowing you to speak from a hidden location so the FBI and DPS won't come there and arrest you.'

Abbott also mentioned Democrats who flee the state may lose their jobs if they abandon coming to work for too long. What are other possible consequences may they face?

Texas House rules provide for a $500 PER day fine for each lawmaker absent without leave, according to NBC News.

Removal from office - Abbott has already filed a lawsuit to test the legality of removing Democrats from office for failure to show up for work. Abbott has a remarkable record of winning tough cases in court so don ;t doubt the possibility of him winning this case too.

Waco attorney Jim Dunnum alleges Abbott is wrong regarding removal from office.

Abbott's petition specifically targets Democrat Rep. Gene Wu , the house Democratic leader. The Court has given Wu until Friday to respond.

The petition further alleges that the departure of the 50 Democratic legislators would constitute abandonment of that office, justifying removal.

Thursday "The FBI May need to help Texas locate and arrest lawmakers. I know Greg Abbott is demanding they come home."

With defiant Democrats vowing to not return to Texas until Abbott and other Republicans quit doing what Trump asks them to do, one Fox commentator Will Cain said that may not ever happen.

Democrats have alleged Trump is behind the redistricting plan in Texas. But it is the strong Texas Governor Greg Abbot who has done all the heavy lifting thus far by leading the redistricting program.

Abbott has already established himself as the greatest attorney general in the history of Texas, and is on schedule to also become the greatest governor in the history of the Lone Star State.

The Texas governor has certainly established himself as a frontrunner to be president in the 2028 election.

Abbott gave a deadline of 5:00 pm today for the Donkeys to return or be arrested.

Abbott appears to be in a powerful position as he appointed all of the members to that Court. However, he's making a tough ask here as this same court voted the other way four years ago.

Waco attorney Jimmy Dunnam, a liberal Democrat disagrees with Abbott. He is a member of the law firm Dunnam and Dunnam in Waco.

Abbott is an American politician, attorney and jurist serving as the 48th Governor of Texas. He also served the 50th attorney general.

Tarrant County Judge Beth Thomas ruled former Rep. Beto O'Rourke cannot fund any of the missing Democrats cowardly activities while fleeing the jobs Texans elected them to do.

Former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker said Republicans in his state defeated the Democrats' walkout.
