Senator Jim Webb for VP, prediction 6/19/08
After publishing it now, August 13, 2008, all the major TV networks are all predicting these 2 are the front runners of Obama's likely picks.
1) Tim Kaine, Goveror of Virginia and
2) Joe Biden, Senator from Delaware
Even though Biden has repeatedly denied it and also has said he didn't want the job. I think he might get the nod after all.
Barack Obama’s running mate for Vice President I predict will be Senator Jim Webb from the state of Virginia. Astrologically, Webb’s birthday, February 9, 1946, makes him an Aquarius, a perfect match for Obama’s Leo Sun. The Solar Eclipse in Leo on August 1, 2008, three days before Obama’s birthday will bookend the Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius on August 16, 2008. And that’s when Obama might reveal his VP choice, in this case, an Aquarius. Lunar influences usually suggest females, but here because of the lunar influence is eclipsed and shut-out, a male VP seems foretelling. The so called “Dream Team” will be just that, a dream, sorry Hillary. The ObamaWebb ticket will be a knock-out and Obama’s VP exploratory team must recommend Senator Jim Webb, with common sense and a clear vision to victory.
What are Senator Webb’s qualifications?
The Junior Senator from the state of Virginia, a member of the Democratic Party, served as former Secretary of the Navy under the Republican president Ronald Reagan. The Senator is the author of many book and his most recent is, “A Time to Fight.” He is a 1968 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served as a Marine Corps Infantry Officer and is a highly decorated Vietnam War combat veteran. In his four years with the Reagan administration Webb served as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs, then as Secretary of the Navy. And like the Republican Presidential nominee for president, John McCain, Webb’s father was a military career veteran too.
Jim Webb has earned the following military honors and medals.
The Navy Cross
The Silver Star
The Bronze Star
Two Purple Hearts
His post-military career.
Webb attended Georgetown University Law Center, and graduating with a law degree. While at Georgetown, Webb wrote his first book, “Micronesia and U.S. Pacific Strategy.”
Webb also was an author and filmmaker. He won an Emmy Award for his 1983 PBS coverage of the U.S. Marines in Beirut. He also worked on the staff of the House Committee on Veterans Affairs. During this time, he also represented veteran’s pro-bono. Webb also taught at the Naval Academy and was criticized for a 1979 article published in the Washingtonian titled "Women Can't Fight.”

Webb as a filmmaker
Webb wrote the story and was the executive producer for the 2000 movie “Rules of Engagement”, which starred Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L. Jackson.
Warner Brothers acquired Webb's script for “Whiskey River.” A short synopsis of the movie which is directed and produced by Rob Reiner, follows in brevity. The film concerns an American soldier who is injured in Iraq and returns to the United States. Before completing rehabilitation, he is called back to active duty. His father, in an attempt to save his son's life, kidnaps him.
The only 2008 Vice Presidential wish list for the United States Democratic party.
Webb has been frequently mentioned as possible Vice Presidential Democratic nominee in 2008 due to his military experience and moderate policy positions. This could serve as a shield against potential Republican attacks on Obama's lack of foreign policy, defense experience and military service. John McCain has sent attacks, Barack’s way in recent days.
Although Webb said he is not interested in the vice presidency in a “Meet The Press” interview, speculations about him being picked by Barack Obama, are still heard. Webb has been a member of the Democratic Party only since 2006. So some extreme liberal eyebrows are indeed lifted in anguish, but realized a purposeful balance.
Senator Webb has campaigned with Obama in Virginia, shortly after Obama captured the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. And although Webb may over shadow Obama in qualifications, Obama would be foolish and show poor judgment in not picking Webb as his running mate, especially in these times of terrorism. Obama needs to balance out McCain’s military experience and equalize the ticket from being ultra liberal. Webb is the perfect man for the job. Perhaps someday Webb will be the president of the United States too. But someday very soon the WebbSite vision will be reality!
