Is Youth REALLY wasted on the young?

If only people cared,

If people would ´Wake UP!´

If apathy were dead,

And all the world Shake Up!

If only l had known,

If only you had cared,

We´re just like all the rest,

Of change we were too scared.

.................................................

Yet, change is needed badly,

If only we knew how,

To solve just ONE world problem,

And DO IT! Solve it NOW!

...................................................

Then , maybe we could try

To fix another thing,

And one by one eliminate,

The troubles, now, life brings.

..................................................

If only we were young again,

And know what we know now,

Could we start a ´movement´?

And show the young ones HOW?.

How to make the changes,

Without a fire being shot.,

How to feed the hungry,

And be grateful for OUR lot.,

Young, Healthy, Beautiful,

A distant memory,

For you and me, so be it.,

but teach young ones to feel free,

If only they could learn from us,

Not make the same mistakes,

Looking at our ´leaders´now,

Learn genuine from FAKES.,

...............................................

The young will do their best,

As we did what we could,

What we thought was right,

Did what we thought was good.,

................................................

If only, they´re encouraged,

To care for Mother Earth,

There´s hope for generations

Ahead to show their worth.
