6 Cute Ways to Say I Love You

I love you. Those three little words can send sparks of electricity flying, especially if it is being uttered for the first time. But let’s face it, once you’ve been with someone for a while “I love you” can become more of a habit than a sentiment. Though many of us will never get tired of hearing it, it’s always nice to have alternative ways of expressing those heartfelt feelings than simply saying “I love you. Here are a few ideas of creative and cute ways to say I love you.

  1. Change up the verbiage. I love you is great, but just think how great it would be to say the same thing in a different way every once in a while. Here is a few examples of how you can switch things up a bit:

· I adore you.

· I appreciate you.

· I can't live without you.

· I can't stop thinking about you.

· I cherish you.

· I dream of you.

· I yearn for you.

· I need you by my side.

· I respect you.

· I value you.

· I want a lifetime with you.

· I'm lost without you.

· I'm yours.

· The thought of you makes me smile.

· We were meant to be together.

· You are a blessing in disguise.

· You are my everything.

· You are my heart's desire.

· You are my life.

· You are my one and only.

· You are my strength.

You get the idea. Be creative and remember these phrases aren’t meant to take the place of those three little words, “I love you.” They are only meant to enhance by providing a little variety.

2. Plan it. What better way to show someone how much you love them, than to actually plan something for them? It can be the perfect date, a trip, a party, etc. Putting some thought into it and remembering to incorporate things they love will go a long way in saying those three little words without saying those three little words.

3. Tell a friend. Indirect communication can sometimes be more powerful than direct. A simple, “I really love him/her” is sufficient and it will undoubtedly get back to your significant other. Another neat way would be to do it just as he/she is leaving the room. Look over at you buddy and clearly say it just loud enough for you honey to hear.

4. Leave it laying around. Finding a little strategically placed love note, drawing, quote, or racy saying can really jazz up a mundane afternoon. Yes, yes, yes. There is always texting but nowadays that is expected. Going against the expectation is what makes the sentiment mean so much more. If possible hand write a little love note for your lover.

5. Revert to childhood. I bet when you were younger there were all kinds of things you did to express yourself that you don’t do now. Have you ever made someone a card? A friendship bracelet? Or may even a mix tape? These are all still good avenues to expressing you love.

6. Re-visit the first date or the best date. Your lover will be impressed that you remember and this will make them feel special.
