Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Send a scrumptious dozen chocolate covered berries to say, "I love you". Choose between milk, dark, white, or mixed chocolate varieties. These lavishly hand-dipped are also available decorated with extra love & care with your choice of assorted nuts and small edible candies like sprinkles or cute little hearts.

I sent this gift to my husband at his workplace. He loved it! They delivered during the morning time so this was his breakfast. LoL He said that it was a delicious surprise. With edible arrangements, you have the option to include a greeting card with your purchase. I included these words, "I am so blissfully happy to have found the perfect man". Think of something meaningful and creative to include in your message to help brighten your spouse's day.

Infinite Rose Blooms

Infinite Rose Bloom

The infinite rose bloom (above) is beautifully preserved, captured at its peak of perfection, and is certain to create memories that will never fade. Perfect for adding romantic ambiance. With the infinite rose bloom you can tell your significant other that your love is forever, unending. The rose is set in an elegant glass cube vase. Soft and incredibly life-like, the rose is treated with glycerin to maintain its fresh-cut appearance for years.

  • Available in red, lavender, or pink.
  • Purchase a single rose or set of two.

One of my readers mentioned that she received an infinity rose and still has it. This is a very special gift that any husband or wife would love to receive.

Teddy Bear

What says, "I Love You", more than an absolutely adorable teddy bear? Add your special touch by including a framed photo of the two of you, a love poem, flowers, or chocolates. The teddy bear is a gift that can be cherished for many years. The teddy bear is not an expensive gift, but it is sure to warm your love's heart. The teddy bear also makes a wonderful "just because" gift to show that your sweetheart is on your mind.

In my opinion, this gift is more appropriate for those who are dating or in the early years of marriage. Maybe it's just me, but this one seems a bit sappy for a long term relationship? What are your thoughts? Leave your comments below.

Time-Lapse Juniper Procumbens

A Plant

Roses and flowers are always nice but they do not last as long as a plant. Choose one that your significant other will enjoy. May I suggest the handsome Juniper Bonsai which keeps its beautiful green color throughout the year. The Juniper Bonsai is one of the most popular Bonsai's in the U.S. and is perfect for beginners or experts. This is a handsome gift which is sculptured with artful pruning and will grow into a unique work of art. It's easy to care for and will add stunning beauty to any setting.

This handsome plant has to be one of the best gifts to send to either a husband or wife; but I particularly love this gift for men. The plant takes very little upkeep and will certainly be attractive sitting on your husband's desk at work. Every time he sees his Bonsai, he might even think of you. ;-)

Picture Frame

A personalized picture frame can be a sweet timeless touch for your anniversary. I love the "then and now" idea where you include two pictures side by side; the first one is from your wedding day and the second is from your anniversary. Share your memories with everyone. Also consider tabletop frames, wall frames, and photo albums. When my husband and I were dating, he gave me a personalized calendar with the best photos we took since we met. While I was expecting an engagement ring, I still love looking through the pages of the calendar today. It was special because he took the thought and time to put it together for me.

I love this gift for any stage in a relationship, but it's specifically appropriate for either husband or wife, especially when sent to their workplace. To make it even more special, pare the gift with a fresh bouquet of flowers and chocolates (for the ladies).

Perfume or Cologne

Fragrances are a great gift, but do you choose floral, citrus, or musk? If you don't know what to get, purchase a gift set which has a variety of scents. These typically include an array of body lotions, sprays, cream shampoos, etc. Many fragrances have their own fragrances, like Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, etc. Your spouse's favorite clothing store may have their own fragrance, such as American Eagle.

You might inquire with your spouse about their favorite scent or inquire if they have run out of a particular scent that they really liked. Scents smell different to everyone and therefore it's important to get it right with perfume or cologne. You don't want to purchase a gift that your spouse will hate or that will be sitting on the counter unused because they detest the smell.

Are you confused about what scents are available out there? Or maybe your spouse needs some suggestions on good scents to purchase? I wrote a Hub about the Top Ten Fragrances for Women that might be helpful. You can view the pages below:

Jewelry

Anniversary Jewelry can range from inexpensive to extremely pricey, but just remember that it's the thought that counts. These cute bracelets say his and hers on them. To add your personal touch, consider inscribing the gift (rings, necklaces, bracelets, and jewelry boxes) with both of your names. Also, make sure that your spouse is not allergic to certain types of metals. Find out your spouse's preference for either gold or silver, what types of stones, and colors, etc.

Jewelry is one of the most iconic anniversary gifts that you can give your spouse. Jewelry is the perfect anniversary gift for both husband or wife. Even if you don't spend a lot of money on this type of gift, every time your significant other glances at the piece of jewelry they will certainly have you on their mind.

Willow Tree Anniversary Figurine

Trinkets

Really, anything of little value, when presented in the correct way can show your spouse that they are loved. Anniversary gifts do not have to cost hundreds of dollars. This Willow Tree Anniversary Figurine is a great example of how a piece of wood can be transformed into a meaningful memory. Do you have a special talent for creating something new and unique, like artwork? Use it to make something from the heart and really impress your spouse.

With trinkets, you don't always have to purchase one new. Get creative and make your spouse something from the heart. When you're on a very tight budget, taking the time and attention to create something of your own imagination is a way to show your spouse that you really care and are thinking of them.

Buffalo Bills Jerky Gift

Source

Meat Snack Lover Gift

My husband loves beef jerky. Go with a gift that you know your spouse will already enjoy. I love this Buffalo Bill's gift cooler which comes filled with 12 assorted 1.75oz packs of moist and tender country cut beef and turkey jerky. Welcome your man to Jerky Heaven! At no additional charge, they will include your personalized gift message which will appear on your gift recipient's packing slip - just click "Gift Options" when checking out.

...making myself a note to order this for my next anniversary because this may just be the ultimate man gift! I can already see my husband receiving this and sharing it with his buddies in the office...or not. LoL

Barware Gift Set

Whether your spouse loves spirits, wine, or cocktails, barware makes a great gift. Celebrate your victories and drown your defeats together with a pint of your favorite brew. Nobody should drink alone, so most sets include about four glasses. Pair your gift with your spouse's favorite cheeses, flavored seeds, pretzels, and popcorn.

This is a functional gift that you both can enjoy for years to come. For a more personalized touch, you could have your names and anniversary date engraved in the glass. Now, it becomes a conversational piece and anytime you have guests they will inquire and congratulate you on a long and happy relationship.

Kitchen Appliances

Looking for something useful for your devoted cook? Find out if there are any kitchen appliances that your significant other really wants. Does your husband have his eye on a fancy new grill for the summer? Personally, I would love to receive a KitchenAid Stand mixer. ;-) It would make my life easier; baking cookies, breads, and all the things that my husband loves to eat. So, really a kitchen appliance can be a gift for you both. It's a win-win gift idea.

Make sure this is a gift that your spouse would really want; and not just something that you want around the house, like a beer brewing system (guys). LoL Also, some women would be offended at receiving an appliance for their anniversary. They'd much rather receive a sentimental gift like flowers or chocolate. Certainly don't go out and purchase your wife a vacuum cleaner unless you know she really wants one. You may have a conversation and ask her if she'd like an appliance for her anniversary gift.

Romantic Gift Baskets

Send some romance that you both can enjoy with a romantic gift basket. Try a dinner for two picnic basket filled with an array of gourmet foods from pasta to olives to tiramisu cookies. When the Italian-inspired meal is done, the keepsake wicker basket remains for romantic picnics in the days to come. Other ideas could include a wine and cheese basket, a spa basket, chocolate gift basket, etc. You can pick a gift basket that is geared towards your spouse's interests. Does your spouse love to grill? The basket below would be a perfect gift.

Sending personalized gift baskets is another way that you can really show that you care. Gift baskets don't have to be purchased pre-made from a retailer. If you have the time, find a basket and assemble gifts that your spouse would really enjoy using or eating.

Romantic Nights Gift Basket

Naughty Gifts

Spice up your love life with some romantic nights... this gift is more than a little risqué. Turn the lights down low and open this gift together. This adults-only basket includes decadent chocolates, sensuous massage oils and aromatherapy, and an assortment of risqué games, activities, and accessories. Go ahead, we won't tell. ;-)

Get your creative side going and find your spouse something sexy to wear. Not sure what to get? Many lingerie retailers will be happy to help with your questions. Also, find out your spouse's measurements and sizes before heading to the store or ordering online. This gift is particularly well suited for those in both short or long term relationships. It's never too early or too late to add some spice to your marriage. Here are some suggestions: candles, chocolates, a warm burning fire, hot chocolate, sexy background music, a homemade meal that you prepared. Make sure that you cover all five senses for the most pleasurable experience: sight, sound, touch, taste, and hearing.

Anniversary Surprises!

Surprise your significant other with a tropical vacation, day at the spa, shopping spree, or more! Know what your spouse's interests are; and they don't have to be your interests! After you find out what your spouse likes, couple your gift with the element of surprise. Hide the gift in a place where he or she will stumble upon it and then ask them to retrieve something in that location to draw their attention to it. Send it in the mail or to their office. This type of element requires effort and planning but this is the kind of thoughtfulness that contributes to a blissful marriage.

Great ideas, Melinda. I still have an infinite rose bloom from my ex-husband (who is also now deceased). I think he gave it to me in 1996. It sits on the bookshelf in my office. Believe it or not, after all these years it still smells like a rose!

Thank you for your comments braveworrior! :-) That is one gift that I would love to receive. Flowers don't last quite as long as I'd like. The infinite rose looks so pretty and would be something that you could enjoy for a long time. I was wondering if they actually did last a long time. Glad to hear your positive feedback. ;-)

I especially like the rose and the bonsai tree. Good ideas here!
