Men lie about their height. If a man is just an inch or two under six feet tall, he will usually claim to be a six-footer especially if the woman he admires is tall. Some men like to be taller than their spouse.

There are a lot of celebrities men who are comfortable with their height and do not lie about it. One man who comes to mind and even jokes about his height is actor and comedian Kevin Hart. He is 5′ 4.″ His wife, Eniko is 5′ 7″ tall.

The other man who doesn't lie about his height is journalist George Stephanopoulos. He is 5′ 5″ and his comedian wife Ali Wentworth is 5′ 7″ tall.

It is more common for a man to lie about his height than about his weight. He doesn't lie about his weight as often.

Men lie about being lost. They usually hate to ask anyone for direction especially if a woman is sitting next to him in the car. It is like admitting that he is incompetent. Therefore, he will drive many miles out of his way because he doesn't want to stop and ask for direction. It is good that most modern cars have a Global Positioning System. If men still get lost, he will blame it on his GPS.

Men lie about knowing what is wrong with the car. They believe to admit that they don't know is an admission of being unmanly or inadequate.

While women lie that they like sports when they don't, men lie about their sports ability. So they fabricate a lot and say they were the team star even if they just sat on the bench during the games.

Men lie about being not being afraid. More men than women are afraid of flying. Instead of admitting they are afraid, men often make up excuses why they shouldn't fly. Instead of flying, they might say, "I'd rather take the scenic route."

Some men would rather lie about losing their job than telling the truth. There have been stories about men leaving their home in the morning and going back late in the evening to avoid telling their spouse that they are no longer employed. They hope to find another one before their mate finds out the truth.

  • Men rather lie than tell a woman they do not like what she is wearing.
