In a marriage you will have to be each others helpmate and partner in every way. Giving each other time to yourselves and together to replenish love,friendship and sanity is a must.

My point is when we see stress signs in our partner we have to share the load and make time to renewal . There are so many ruined marriages because of depression.       Thanks for sharing Rob. It sounds like you and your spouse needs to sit down with a counselor or someone close to you to talk about what you need in your relationship. You two use to love each other and need to remember why. Family is everything.

      I don't know all of the facts and I am not a certified counselor, but if you both fight to get passed this rough patch you can decide what is best together. If you love one another fighting for your relationship is worth it. Good luck to you.

      Good article, my marriage is in a sad state, we have no connection, im losing my desire for her, i bend over backward to make her happy and she doesn't care if im happy, i sneak to bed without telling her these days hoping she will wall asleep on couch, she has anxiety issues, which makes it worse, ive tried everything to make this woman happy and nothing works

      Depression can take on many faces in a marriage relationship. It is important to note that it can be triggered by things other than stress and life circumstances. There are physical issues such as low thyroid, gout, and hormonal imbalances that can trigger depression. Having a thorough medical checkup is a must to make sure that the depression is not induced by physiological issues.
