Motivational Poem: Let's Be Gay
Time it was when being gay meant merriment and cheer
Quiet far from the dreadful word we now call fear
Homos simply meant any living or extinct member of the family Hominidae
Not exclusively pointed to those whose lifestyle many would disagree
With this, a thought comes to me today
Why not choose to simply be gay?
Man used to be an adult male person in society
Far from the animal they call chauvinist in some glossary
Woman was defined as the adult female person in the land
Not a product sold in magazines, television, films or broad bands
I wonder then if it’s appropriate to say
Some things are here to stay --- let’s just be gay
Best Info Hubs
Colored was associated with visual arts on print and silver screen
Not black or brown or yellow as now it would seem
Religion, as I recall, defined a people’s belief on a divine presence
Not a division disallowing God’s awesome Omnipresence
With this, I now would like to state
Let’s all be happy anyway and be gay
Human race used to be defined as the people living on planet earth
Truly not a competition on who gets the best and who takes the dirt
News then were information of recent and important events
Not at all exclusive to issues that shout of sex and violence
And thus, I’d like to ask if I may
Why sow fear when it’s easier to just be gay
