Quotes about friendship and poem on friendship
On friendship -
The loss of my friend still weighs heavily on my mind.. I just wanted to give expression to that heavy feeling but so filled with lovely memories in my heart.
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." - Melody Beattie
This quotes seems to sum up our relationship and lives. We were strangers and met under strange circumstances, she was my friend’s colleague and was facing a problem in her life. She was referred to me and we just hit it off from the word go... a great friendship was born.

Poems on friendship - To have known you
You and I,
We have sat on those stairways,
Silence embracing our days,
Saying nothing, just being together,
I knew the heaviness of your heart,
You sensed the empathy on my part,
Words were never much between us,
I could reach you with just a smile, a touch,
You did not want the words,
That would mar our worlds,
The pressure of your hand on mine,
To assure me that you were fine,
The look in your eyes would convey,
What your words were reluctant to say,
The tears that edged your eyes,
Where from your heart that was incised,
The courage and patience you did show,
Of your substance we came to know
The woman you were,
A kind so rare!
Our happy days never did reveal,
The strength within you, like solid steel,
With your warmth, your smile,
Your simple lifestyle,
You have made an impact,
Friends and admirers it did attract,
I am so glad to have been there for you,
A true blessing it was to have known you,
I am so proud of you my friend,
You were to me a godsend!
A Tribute - To have known you
Friendship born of gratitude which later bloomed into genuine understanding of each other and being there for each other. In a few years she had endeared herself to me, her values, her love, her genuineness all appealed to my soul. She was not much of a speaker and I being on the opposite end of the spectrum, learned to respect her silences.
It was the things we had in common that attracted us first, but it was our differences and our respect for each other that helped us value each other so much.
Friendship is not about sharing the best times together, it is a commitment to love and being there for each other when things go wrong. I am so blessed to have known her, “Doc T” as I called her, in my life.
I have learned a few things from her, utmost patience, to be firm and stand up for myself when I need to, she also convinced me that tough love was good, a major lesson for a person who was all mush.
She was a natural leader, a fighter and a dreamer. She had great visions... yet to be realized.. I just believe she has left that legacy to her future generations.
Friendship isn’t about how long we have been together but about how much we shared with each other. Friendship is about letting everything drop just to be with the other when he/she needs you. It is about honesty and revelation of the soul. The ability to trust without worrying about being misunderstood. It is about being yourself in the other’s company. In friendship there is no greater or lessor, it is the common ground that makes friendship the breeding ground for a strong relationship. My only regret is that I had not known DocT longer.
