    Does God really 'join' people in matrimony?

    During a marriage ceremony those in the audience may hear 'Whom God has joined together, let no man put asunder'. To what does this sentence refer because  some marriages last less than a year. If God joins them, how is it that they 'split'? One of my friends refused to give a divorce and her husband murdered her. how did that happen if God joined them?

    Your question is very good.  I am just throwing you some more questions.  Why there are mishaps happen in mecca.  Why there are mishaps happen in jeruselam.  Old days also there are good and bad people.  Even when god existed.  Why then?.  Can't the God  distroy them?.  Their lies the answer.  Every men has a purpose in this world.  Whether it be Jesus,Allah,Krishna, all of them have a purpose.
                    We call them god because they distroyed evils and show the world the value of goodness.  Just think if all the people lived during these god's time are good ones.  Then how they be god.  What is the purpose of their life.  It is because of evils prevailing at that time that these gods become gods. 
                  Whether it is modern or ancient time, every human has a purpose in this world.  Even if the god is there at the time of wedding it is the humans who matters most.  Some people live untill their death with their wife.  Why is it so. It is their inner self that decides whther live longer or not with their ones wife.
