Some people see marriage as a union between two people and trying to make a go at life. I see it as something much deeper than that. If you're not religious, forgive my answer. But, marriage, to me, is an example of God's love. He took Eve from Adam's rib and then told them to be one flesh. What? Adam was separated from God but God wanted that union back so badly that he sent his only begotten son to bridge the gap. A marriage, to me, is that spiritual. Becoming one flesh. Becoming one spirit. Christ and the church. Becoming one. God said that he sees the church as an untarnished bride and will one day come to claim it. WOW! That's powerful when we think of the person we vow to God to love till death do us part. Are we whole and ready enough for that commitment? Is our partner?

Given that I...
