Do you believe good fotune is truly sereptitious or simply payment earned?
I think good fortune is a combination of hard work, good ethics, circumstances, and karma.
Most people are not the recipients of good fortune without work, foresight, good ethics and reliability. Generally, you make your own fortune; but, there are always circumstances we cannot control that can affect how our fortunes turn out - crime, illness, economic downturns.
I truly believe that to a large extent our fortunes depend on "karma". I am a firm believer in "you reap what you sow". I have found that if you are fair and ethical when dealing with others, then that invites the same treatment in return. If you are a business owner (for example), this kind of service will encourage your customers to not only return again and again; but, they will spread the word to their friends thereby increasing your good fortune.
For myself, I would have to say it is serendipitous. Purely chance! Don't you? Sometimes hard works pays off, if one is lucky, but often it can also go unfairly against us. Leaving us to feel cheated despite our efforts, reliability and great work ethics. But then, I am a dreamer and believe in happen-stance with a pinch of magic. I leave a lot up to my wild imagination.
Good luck is almost always deserved,if not then it is quickly lost..
