Legally, Can You Divorce Your Parents, And Can Your Parents Divorce You?
If you live in the U.S., you can become an "emancipated minor". This is essentially a divorce from a parent, or both parents.
Parents can abandon, or give a child up for adoption. They can release them to custody of "the State"...that is a type of divorce.
You can disown your parents or they can disown you and disinherit you.... Legally I think not, unless thay give you up for adoption... but biologically they are always yours, you can try as hard as you might to disown them.
