tell a joke or say something that will catch them off guards
Just be silly, smile, maybe fake fall in the middle of the hallway.
You gotta be original! Don't pretend to be something tha you're not.
In my professional view,
If its your husband or wife, - just tickle them!
Smile and then make a goofy face! If that doesn't make them laugh, they must be dead. Call 911!
lol nice pic dexter, if that don't make you laugh I don't know what will!
I love jokes and even if the joke is not so funny to some people, I find them funny.. I have a weird sense of humour. I even find some commercials funny. When I burst out laughing watching a tv commercial, my kids would say "Mom, you'd seen that commercial before!" I don't care, I still find it funny. I tend to laugh easily.. so for me, just show up!
Tell people to choose one way or the other. Heaven or hell? There is always 1 who will say there is nothing beyond death. When your dead you are dead. Now that is funny because you gave them only 2 answers to choose from. Just trying to soften the shock when they die and find out that they are in a place that they might not like to be in on the other side of death.
Look at that person with a mean face, and when they ask, "what?", just keep looking at them with the same face, be sure not to laugh yourself!
The best way to make a child laugh is to make a silly face or to tickle them. Works on my kids, every time.

What are your thoughts on what a sense of humor is and where it comes from? Are humans the only beings that find things funny? Is it all only related to our intellect? When did humans first begin to laugh? And I don't mean the audible sound of a laugh that conveys a jovial mood in a social setting,...
