Should Hubbers use this space to insult one another?

What do you think about Hubbers who use this space to insult you? I posted a question last night and this is the answer I received. I'm a new hubber, so I'm wondering if this takes place here on a regular basis? If so, I don't want to be a part of this site. I've included his profile image below as well in case anyone recognizes him as having insulted you as well.

    MickS says

You must have a pretty sad life if you can't make up your mind about those two petty programmes, and allowing it to be controlled by the death of a minor celebrity who probablly didn't know of your existence.

I haven't encountered much of that here. Most Hubbers are polite, respectful people, at least in their posts. It looks as if you touched a nerve with MickS, and his knee jerked. I'd ignore it.

Here, as elsewhere, one must ignore and never feed any trollz you come across.

I have been here 7 weeks and the community has been great. You should pity these people - ad hominem abuse is the sign of a failed argument. Get posting hubs and only listen to the measured feedback.

Well, it depends upon person to person... After all, You have the right to use the way you want..

But, you need to understand that you are not here to insult anyone, but to develop yourselves and interact with people via Hubs.. So don't shift your focus...Keep it simple.. Learn New things, Spread Knowledge and have fun.

I had it happen a couple of times and denied the comment. Evidently this hubber was doing it quite a bit and has since been banned from hubs. Someone disagreeing can do so without being rude and obnoxious.

I don't think so. Just remember the fact that many people who insult others online have not got the spine enough to even attempt doing so face to face. They are weak, petty and scared people. Even if it's an honest misunderstanding or disagreement, there's no need to insult anyone.
