Do you feel single men/women are more vulnerable during the holiday season?

Meaning, they're more inclined to randomly date or "hook up" because they feel the need to be with someone during the season?

Hey, Jaydawg: This may be the case for many people, but it's not the case for me. I feel absolutely no pressure to be in a romantic relationship and I do not need a pretty lady holding my hand to make me feel like a "man".

Interesting thought ...but I think if you are busy working or doing stuff ...you will not need to be with someone smile

I would say as far as "hooking up" goes- my answer would be neither.  I think single women may be more vulnerable during the holiday season when it comes to feeling lonely, especially seeing friends and other family members in relationships.  But, in general we all get lonely especially during those times when you want that special someone to share in a special moment with you (i.e. New Years).

No, I don't think the holidays make people anymore vulnerable than going away on vacation. Some people have the mindset that holidays and vacations are all about living like there is no tomorrow. No matter how you slice it everything we do is by (choice). If someone decides they are not going to be "alone" they are taking a "proactive" stance when they step out for the night or invite someone over.
Vulnerable is generally defined as being defenseless, weak, susceptible, or helpless. One could hardly claim that as their excuse as they head out to a New Year's Eve party. Even those that "drink too much" more often than not do so intentionally looking for liquid courage to follow through on their goal of not ending the year alone.

Right on! Having someone for the holidays is its own little tradition within a tradition (for some). I know there are some people out there who only remember a holiday based upon their sexploits...as if the festival was just a means to a desired end.

Great points dashingscorpio.  It's all about choices.
