If you were planning on having a romantic evening at home, what is the most one romantic food item you can think of to share with your sweetie?  You can choose up to three or more if you desire.  Thank you for answering.

Manicotti. It is the first dish my (future at the time) husband ever cooked for me at his house. He even taught me the recipe! We ate dinner and watched an HBO movie together, "The Last Starfighter", a silly sci-fi movie about aliens invading a trailer park.

Woo, you know it Peg!!!  Wow, and he cooked it!  You know he knows his stuff!  You are blessed to have that man no doubt and I hope you both still share such evenings.  I just love Manicotti too!

I must giggle a little seeing the picture and what it alone offers with the imagination. Oddly I choose an ice cube as the star of that play. The ice cube offers so many avenues to travel and many forks along a pathway of romance. It may take one through to intimacy or astray toward eroticism. The imaginative may liken those two as one in the same as a duet or dance. Music of course adds with prompting of rhyme or the flicker of a candle's flame.

A nice glass of wine slightly chilled with an ice cube floating within the sweet nectar of love. Clear iridescent walls narrow encompassing a luscious strawberry offers entertaining the senses. Anticipation builds slowly as the ice cube melts awaiting the fruit to be exposed for a nibble of that morsel. Do you hurry the process or do you allow nature to take its sweet course of change.

Yes, I choose an ice cube. Romantic? Maybe . . .

I would do several dishes from a soup, to a salad, followed by the entrĂ©e and I would finish with a good apple dessert.  My husband loves apples, so I know that any dessert with apples will be a winner :-)  I would put a nice candle on the table and soft light.
Taking the time to prepare dishes with love, that's what is important.  I think that food tastes always better when it's prepared with love :-)

Cornish hens seasoned with a mixture of pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, ground ginger and cloves.  Sweet potato casserole with the little marshmallows on top.  A side of glazed carrots.  And for after, chocolate dipped fruit and champagne.

Hi stick ... : )   Yes, always love the pasta, but must be careful with too much garlic (although I love the garlic) for the after dinner romance.  Sounds like you have a great romantic meal in your mind too.  Awesome.  Hugs

If it is a romantic evening, I would prefer to eat light food, so that we do not doze off after a heavy meal. Light food, light music, candlelights and lot of sweet communication with each other.
Therefore, I would prefer fresh fruit salad, baked chicken and chocolate souffle with hot chocolate sauce. I can have fresh lime juice, with crushed mint leaves and soda and my husband can have wine, which he loves.

The most romantic dessert for any occasion.  It will be cheese cake with a warm or cold drink. There are a lot of toppings that any person can add. The cheese cake will be delicious.

Hi erorantes,  oh, yes, love the cheese cake too, especially with the special toppings.  Perfect!
