If you were planning on having a romantic evening at home, what is the most romantic food item you
If you were planning on having a romantic evening at home, what is the most one romantic food item you can think of to share with your sweetie? You can choose up to three or more if you desire. Thank you for answering.
Manicotti. It is the first dish my (future at the time) husband ever cooked for me at his house. He even taught me the recipe! We ate dinner and watched an HBO movie together, "The Last Starfighter", a silly sci-fi movie about aliens invading a trailer park.
I must giggle a little seeing the picture and what it alone offers with the imagination. Oddly I choose an ice cube as the star of that play. The ice cube offers so many avenues to travel and many forks along a pathway of romance. It may take one through to intimacy or astray toward eroticism. The imaginative may liken those two as one in the same as a duet or dance. Music of course adds with prompting of rhyme or the flicker of a candle's flame.
A nice glass of wine slightly chilled with an ice cube floating within the sweet nectar of love. Clear iridescent walls narrow encompassing a luscious strawberry offers entertaining the senses. Anticipation builds slowly as the ice cube melts awaiting the fruit to be exposed for a nibble of that morsel. Do you hurry the process or do you allow nature to take its sweet course of change.
Yes, I choose an ice cube. Romantic? Maybe . . .
Hi tsmog, wow, you have set the stage for one romantic night and then some here with your ice cube answer! Thank you so much for sharing your idea of a romantic evening. I bet you may be the only one who comes up with the choice of an ice cube!
Rib Eye steak wit Bernaise Sauce, Red Beet Potatos with garlic butter and saute'd Green Beans.
Shrimp Scampi over rice.
Chocolate Covered Strawberries and Wine.
I would do several dishes from a soup, to a salad, followed by the entrée and I would finish with a good apple dessert. My husband loves apples, so I know that any dessert with apples will be a winner :-) I would put a nice candle on the table and soft light.
Taking the time to prepare dishes with love, that's what is important. I think that food tastes always better when it's prepared with love :-)
Hi kidscrafts, yes, indeed, food that is prepared with love tastes best no doubt about it!!! Thank you for answering and you have now made me so hungry mentioning that apple dessert! Hugs
Hugs dear Joelle. You're hubby is blessed to have you!
Cornish hens seasoned with a mixture of pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, ground ginger and cloves. Sweet potato casserole with the little marshmallows on top. A side of glazed carrots. And for after, chocolate dipped fruit and champagne.
hello .. my tree..
yes .. I must say pasta for the carbs we will need to be romantic after... with some salad and of course some vino to wash it down..
small bon-fire in the side yard,.... cooler of beer,... cheap hot dogs with ALL the trimmins,.... couple sharp long sticks,.... clear sky full of stars on a warm night,... and a two butt chair to share,............. its the little things.
If it is a romantic evening, I would prefer to eat light food, so that we do not doze off after a heavy meal. Light food, light music, candlelights and lot of sweet communication with each other.
Therefore, I would prefer fresh fruit salad, baked chicken and chocolate souffle with hot chocolate sauce. I can have fresh lime juice, with crushed mint leaves and soda and my husband can have wine, which he loves.
Hi Chitrangada Sharan, thank you for answering. Good point! Wow, that meal sounds fantastic for sure, especially the chocolate soufflé and the lovely fresh lime juice with crushed mint leaves and soda drink!
Thanks Faith Reaper, for liking my answer!
Have a good day!
The most romantic dessert for any occasion. It will be cheese cake with a warm or cold drink. There are a lot of toppings that any person can add. The cheese cake will be delicious.
