In a male dominated world can we say this mindset is a positive for the progression of civilization?

Have we left out what truly balances out a civilization by not giving the female mind equal positions of power?

Civilization is slowly but constantly evolving.
As of now there are 23 women in charge of Fortune 500 companies. They include some household company names. Mary Barra (GM), Margaret Whitman (HEWLETT-PACKARD ), Virginia Rometty (IBM), Indra Nooyi (PEPSICO INC), Marillyn Hewson (LOCKHEED MARTIN CORP),  Ursula Burns (XEROX CORP) and Marissa Mayer (Yahoo) to name a few.
At this time Hilary Clinton is favored to win the Democrat party nomination for president and in some circles she is favored to win the general election.
Considering it was August 18, 1920, the 19th amendment guaranteed all American women the right to vote things have changed . Women have held high positions in government and in the corporate world. Naturally nothing moves as fast as we like to see it but one can't deny there has been some major progress in the lives of women since 1920.
However power is usually (seized) by the person wanting it. Rarely is it just "given" to anyone. A person has to be willing to put themselves out front and center and be willing to take on the arrows of the opposition.

I agree. We are seeing things progress. I don't think they don't desire positions of power I think they are told by society they are subordinate to man. Thanks for your comment. You have good insight.

The only way to balance out civilization, is an equal share of power for each person....That way everyone gets their "fair share" of "all" the resources on planet earth, & the wealth doesn't just go to the greedy scum bag corrupt business men, bankers, royalty & politicians & celebs etc....What would balance out the states & britain is if everyone stopped being lazy, & turning a blind eye to what's really going on....I mean plenty of peeps talk on here & else where about what's really going on, but who does anything about what's really going on....The by stander effect every time millions moan, but then watch sports stars every weekend, because they can't be bothered to entertain themselves....& everyone supports big business & slave labour, just so as they can have some cheap trainers or T.V's etc....The mindset of the whole world has to change, & it can only be done on the individual level....If & when enough peeps get with the real program, & stop supporting the very people that they "know" are causing all this shite in the world, then attitudes might change & the world will improve....So i do what ever i can & i do it when ever i can do it, in person & in reality. :-)
