About the Norway Shooting, what's really going on?

Updated on April 29, 2012

I know this is a little late, but I felt the need to write on the subject. I believe we are living in the last days. With that in mind, there is one end time prophecy that may have Christians concerned or unsure of how it may come about.

"And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, and THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus:" Revelation 175-6a

It tells of a time where Christians will be hated so much that we will be killed for our testimony of Jesus Christ. Christians have been killed for their faith since the time of Jesus, but the bible warned of it getting much, much worse. Those killing us will think they are doing the will of God, but we as Christians know they are doing the work of the beast.

Jesus warns of this type of hate. "If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. “If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you."

Unfortunately to day we see people creating a Jesus in their own image with, "Jesus said judge not" taking it out of context, to give license and even permission to live in sin. Or, "Jesus never said anything about homosexuality so it must be fine." Refusing to realize Jesus is the same God as in the Old Testament, and ignoring Matthew 19 when Jesus was asked about divorce, the answer he gave condemned all sexual activity outside the male-female marriage covenant. And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, "For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?"

Despite the counterfeit idols, when confronted with the true Jesus of the bible, you will soon find the hatred that Jesus Himself spoke of.

Now to Norway, I briefly wrote about Islam and its fundamental differences to Christianity.

There was a slogan or rallying cry that echoed from the media out of the aftermath of the tragic Norway shooting and bombing. "Right wing", "Christian fundamentalist", "Extremist terrorist". Keep in mind this from the same media the in the aftermath of the fort hood shooting, if you were to mention the word terrorist or the fact that he was a Muslim you were called a racists and a new silencing tool was created, "islamophobe". The media officially diagnosed the fort hood shooter with pre-war P.T.S.D, even though he shouted "Allah Akbar" before killing many US soldiers.

Since Islam cannot be criticized, the brunt of hate goes to Christians and Jews. Not only is the hate growing, there is a growing number that feels the persecution is needed. That is why the Norway shooting coverage is so important. The media is reinforcing the long touted mantra started by Nero, "Christians and Jews are the cause of all wars and are the problem with the world today". As we saw with the French Revolution/Reign of Terror and what we hear frequently from the new atheist. "If we could only rid the world of Christians the world would be a better place" with the false hopes of a secular utopia. Add the historical warped view of the Crusades and the Inquisition taught in public schools, the mental pipeline of the persecution of the church is already laid down.

BUT! We have an eternal hope. "He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal." Holdfast friends

When you say 'Norway killer's "Christian" beliefs', do you you have any thoughts on 'American Bible-Belt fundamentalist "Christian" beliefs?

The reason I ask is that they (A B-B f "C" bs) often seem to represent a sort of 'America is best and God loves us so whatever we do is right' view of the world, which seems to have more to do with politics than any sort of spirituality.

What do you think God makes of such a "Patriotic" version of religion?

I caught the media spin on the reporting of this incident as well and thought similarly as you that this story was used as a platform for Christian hatred. I have already seen the rant against Christians about it on Facebook.
