In today’s fast paced world, everything has become instant. People are running after everything and want everything to be done in an instant way. In such conditions, you cannot expect people to spend time with the Lord, reading the Bible. However, reading the word of God everyday is very important. God gave the Shema to the Israelis in Dueteronomy, chapter 6, verses 4-9. God asked them to read His words everyday and remember them always. This is important to this modern generation too. If you cannot spend time at home, you can at least read God’s message on a good Christian blog. Here are few benefits of reading the word of God.

Firstly, reading the Bible everyday empowers your faith and enables you to tackle issues with authority. Jesus is the name above all names. However, God has placed His word over His name. When you read the word of God every day as instructed in the Shema, the first benefit is that God speaks to you through His word. Today, there are several problems affecting your life. Be it a health issue or a financial crisis, it is not an easy task to tackle them effectively. However, when you are unsure of what to do, God can guide you in the right path.

Reading the word of God every day enables you to listen to His voice and proceed accordingly. When God is for you, who can stand against you? Any big problem is smaller to God. That is why it is a good idea to be a part of a good Christian blog so that you can be equipped with spiritual things. In addition, you meet several believers who are willing to pray for you.

Secondly, reading the word of God empowers you to overcome sin. Today, the world is filled with sin and perversion. People are enjoying as they like without understanding that they are on the verge of a catastrophe. While you live in this sinful world, it is not easy to overcome temptations. Satan can lure you to fall into sin. The only way to overcome sin is to walk closer with the Lord and this can only happen when you follow the Shema every day. Reading the word of God from the Bible or from a good Christian blog empowers you to overcome every issue. Reading the word and praying everyday can remove you from sin and lead you to a prosperous and successful life.
