Crossing Over A Metamorphosis

Crossing over and leaving the soul realm behind.

There will be many crossings we will have to negotiate in this life journey of following after the Lord.

Not all will be easy. Some may require a great amount of faith. Some may be a battle of will, mind, spirit and soul.

The choices will always remain with us.

Leaving the familiar is a challenge since many of us resist change. The metamorphosis from one thing into another, from ugly worm of the caterpillar to the spectacular beauty of a butterfly is not the simple procedure it seems.

There are many variables in the stages of change and some of these are critical.

Timing is everything as they say.

This metamorphosis within the church has always been the scariest for those who will uphold tradition and design over the will of God. Or they will stay within a system and be unmoved in their demands that this is the will of God, without really knowing God but only knowing about him.

He (God) has never been contented with those who simply believe. It is written, “Even the demons believe and they tremble.” His heart is for us to KNOW HIM. Knowing Him requires something from us.

For those of us who are married the “knowing” can be a sudden eye opener a few months into the marriage and we find out the dark side of their personality or the hidden things that were not there during the courting time. Or the sudden change from romantic to dull and abrasive. Some of us compromise and others of us because of love change for the better because we understand the importance of it for a unity in the marriage.

Two becoming one does not happen in a few months. It takes work, desire, love and delight in the other person.

For those who do not desire unity the oneness never happens and two individual hearts remain two individual hearts living under the same roof.

Most of the Christian church is made up of the latter and those who actually have a true unity of thought and spirit are very few.

What is God’s heart for the church?

That we operate as one… “are all eyes, are all hands, are all feet, are all ears?”

We are diversely created beings, “made in their image”, made up of body, soul, and spirit.

The body, the shell, or house of these three elements is temporal, but the other dimensions have an eternal composition.

The soul, “character” of each of us will come before a throne of judgment. “It is appointed once for man to die.” At this judgment we will be examined as to what we did with our life and whether or not we “know Jesus”, not simply believe in him. He will say to many, “Depart from me for I do not KNOW you.”

The spirit, that which is meant to join us with God, for he is Spirit, and no man can worship God unless he “worships in Spirit and in Truth.”

Where does this “Spirit and Truth” come from?

Seems to me it refers to “Holy Spirit” who will lead us into all truth. (John 14)

Luke 11.13 “How much more WILL your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”

Knock, Ask, Seek, Knock, Ask, Seek and don’t stop knocking, don’t stop asking, don’t stop seeking for more and more and more and more of Holy Spirit, because our heavenly Father will give you more.

Metamorphosis is a continual and should become a habitual process. But somewhere we were never taught to keep on doing these things. We have remained contented with one or two maybe even three, and a very few who have had four transforming experiences in their lifetime.

Why do you think God has introduced variations in his encounters with us over the centuries?

What has been the dominating factor in these encounters not having a lasting impact?

Fear!

God has a number of constants that never change.

1) His Word

2) Salvation in Jesus

3) Holy Spirit

The Word is foundational and will stand the test of time regardless of world events and the changes we see happening at an accelerated rate. (This acceleration is described in the word also)

There is only one way to the Father, through Jesus the Christ = Salvation by no other name.

Holy Spirit, holds all the keys to the Kingdom and was given the authority to draw men to God. He also holds the key to the one and only sin for which there is no forgiveness.

The journey into the metamorphosis of our heart into his heart and the things that he has placed in his design will be the wall we all will face, perhaps numerous times. This will be the river, mountain, ocean, continent etc we will have to consider crossing, climbing, jumping into or we will remain in a stagnancy that will simply pollute and decay.

God is not a God of the boring and the mundane. His creation we all enjoy is filled with his character, imagination, and love for the unique, the mind blowing and the awesome. Come on we have all been blown away.

New paradigms, new shifts are part of the mystery of God. It is man who strips God of his heart desires. We continually stop him through our unbelief.

Who are we to question God on what he wants to do within us as individuals and as a church body, country, nation, or world?

We use our limited mind and resources and think we know the mind of God by our own investigation.

Scientists the world over are continually amazed at their finds and the structure of the created; although they may not conform to a created universe. Their discoveries which have no end should be a minute reminder of how enormous God is. We continually place God in a jar like a firefly and say to ourselves, “I have understanding, I have enlightenment.” NOT!

The knowledge of God is a nonstop learning curve. There will just be no end to it.

We cross over from soul into spirit living.

Jesus himself introduced the first metamorphosis… “You must be born again.”

“You must be born from above.”

Crossing over into a New dimension, a Spiritual birthing process.

Receiving the seed, the Word of God, there is no other way.

Birthing is a trust issue; it is out of your hands now. Another mystery.

Any parent will tell you, from conception to the birthing moment you trust.

What we individually trust in is of our own volition, but every human goes through this exact same experience.

Every human will now have the choice of being reborn.

Jesus says, “No one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.” (John 3.5)

Then he says, “I speak to you of earthly things and you do not believe, how then will you believe if I speak to you of heavenly things?” (John 3.12)

God is not and never encourages one dimensional living.

We have a choice and it will always remain this way, the choice to remain or the choice to cross over.

Israel would not go in and take possession of the Promised Land, why not?

They would not believe and they were afraid.

When we embrace the heart of God we make room in our hearts for continual renewing.

Metamorphosis becomes a natural way of the Spirit.

What does the caterpillar do during the larva stage? It indulges in eating and eating and eating, then at the chosen time it stops, finds a place of rest, spins a special protective chamber to cover itself and waits inside for the transformation to take place. This transforming time is specific in its full effect for completing all the necessary elements for the butterfly to appear, healthy, strong, and ready for the world.

The butterfly is one extremely minute part of creation.

We are designed to become the “sons/daughters” of the Kingdom of God.

Of how much more intense value is our worth to God than a simple butterfly in our metamorphosis.
