He Lead Me Where?

Updated on July 11, 2012

Listen to Him for the Adventure of a Lifetime.

He Guides Me

Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit's leading in every part of our lives. Galatians 5:25 New Living Testament

Has He done this to you?

Have you ever felt the Spirit leading you somewhere you would never even consider going? He is asking you to do something you have never done before and don’t have a clue on how to do it.

That is what happened to me in coming to China to teach. I thought God was crazy. Me, a Christian in communist China? Actually, you might be shocked to see how many Chinese Christians there are in this country. We are welcomed here, they just don’t like the nutbars like the Jehovah Witnesses, having experienced their cult in my teenage years I can assure they are not Christian. Many Chinese freely will question you about Jesus. Just don’t try to push it on them. Further more, I had never taught in my life and did not speak the language. To make a long story short it was here I came and have lived for almost eight years now serving the Lord. It has been difficult for sure, but also very rewarding.

So, how about you? Have you ever felt the Holy Spirit leading somewhere you would never consider going? Has he ever lead you to do something you never thought of doing and had no skills to do?

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6, New International Version

Prayer: I give my life to You Jehovah Rohi (God our great Sheppard) to lead me where You can best utilize my talents. I ask this in my beloved savior Jesus Christs name. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

Good message teacherjoe. I have been called by God to go into some interesting places for some unusual things. But, I have learned that it's always better to listen and obey and that if God calls you, He will equip you.

      Glad you listened!

      Hi Lady E

Thank you for sharing that with me.

In the beginng it is hard to take that leap of faith. As we mature it becomes like second nature.

Have you begun building an ark there because of all the rain youse are getting? ha ha

      God bless you.

Very inspiring - It's beautiful to hear that voice but it takes strong Faith to follow through. I read a man't story on Hubpages on Q & A. He said he heard the Spirit telling him to travel to another Country. I can't remember if it was for volunteering work. Anyay, he went and that was actually where he met his wife and he is very happy today. I remember he wrote that a few weeks before, he had been praying for a wife.

Beautiful story.... but may our Feet move, when we hear that voice. :-)

      Hi Nikki.

Very funny about running from God only to run into it. I believeGod has the greatest sense of humour.

I ran from God only into a diseaster. When I ran back to Him life improved.

God bless you with His sweet love.

Right on, Joe! Voted up, useful, interesting. I tell the story that the Spirit led me up to the roof of our Library where I worked with a plunger to get rid of 4" of water from 1/2 the roof that weighed tons, no doubt, when I had no inkling it needed to be done. Not exactly, "Go to China," but it served a purpose that day! Grace to you.
