FAITH

Faith is the confirmation of our hope, without faith our hope cannot be actualized being the proof of things we do not see and conviction of their reality.

Faith does perceive as real fact what is not revealed to the senses.

HOPE

Hope is confident expectation, the very desire our heart.

Hope and faith work hand-in-hand (i.e.in paripassu).

It is our faith that reveals what we hope for, without faith it will be impossible for what we are hoping for to come through since faith is the pillar upon which our hope stands

(Hebrew 11:1), Ephesians 2:8, Psalm 71:14

A. The Power of Hope: Romans 5:5; 8:24-25,Hebrew 6:18-19

B. Blessing of Hope: - Romans 4:18-19, Colossians 1:5, Lamentation #:24-26, Psalm 22:9-10, Psalm 31:24, Peter 1:13.

What is faith?

Faith is total reliance on God‘s unchanging word. Faith that saves is a personal trust in the lord Jesus Christ.

A. Why Faith is necessary?

Faith is very crucial to Christians because without faith you cannot please God. Hebrew 11:6. There can be no dealing with the invisible God without faith in his existence.

Faith is a crucial condition for salvation Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8.

B. What are the sources of faith?

The two sources of faith are –

(1) Driven faith and

(2) Human faith.

On the driven side faith is the work of trinity: Romans 12:3 Heb 12:22.

On the divine side, faith is the work of the trinity: Roman 12:3; Hebrew 12:22.

On the human side, faith comes by hearing of the word of God. Romans 10:17, Jude 1:20 prayers can increase our faith in God.

C. The Working faith:

The faith that works is that faith that is based on the word of God. Roman 4:19-21.

God is not a liar, when he promises, his word bind him. Number 23:19, Luke 21:33.

Your faith cannot work outside the promises of God; it must be based on the word for it to work. Hebrew 13:8, Matthew 17:28, James 1:6.

Faith is very necessary for total fulfillment in life and ministry; you cannot separate working faith from hope on the word of God.

I agree without faith, it's impossible to please God. Thanks for sharing your faith in Jesus--He's my Savior too.
