The Rebirth of Man (Poem)

To restore that which is lost

To reawaken dormant feature

To reactivate one’s fortress

To revive dead possibilities

To recover full potentials

To return back to the original

To comprehend one’s divine purpose

But to be reborn

The totality of man

Must be involved and explored

But if I may ask

What in man must be reborn?

The spirit in a man is

The immeasurable storage of energy

The deposit of God’s energy

The symbol of person that possesses

A vital force in human as being alive

But with the consumption of good and evil

His forte is now questionable

But to be reborn

An old prominent book says

“For with the heart

Man believeth unto righteousness;

And with the mouth

Confession is made unto salvation.”

(Romans 10:10)

The soul in a man is

The indescribable storage of intellect

The consciousness of feeling and emotions

The processor of thoughts and morals

The ability to comprehend complexity

But with the digestion of good and evil

His forte is now unstable

But to be reborn

An old prominent book says

“…Be ye transformed

By the renewing of your mind,

That ye may prove what is that good,

Acceptable and perfect will of God.

(Romans 12:2)

The Body of man is the visible entity

The carriage of an abstract god

The presentation of divinity

A translator of the person of God

A creature of the image and likeness of God

But with the intake of good and evil

His forte is now uncertain

But to be reborn

An old prominent book says

“Whatsoever things are true,

Honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report;

If there be any virtue or praise,

Think on these things”

(Philippians 4:8)

The rebirth of one’s spirit

Is not enough

Even of the spirit and soul

Is still not just enough

But of the spirit, soul and body

The only physical god

Of the last born of God himself

Only then,

Can we truly be the best

Not just to ourselves

Or to our loved ones

But to the entire universe

And to every living creature

Nice poems and nice titles. Since you love God, then try reading The Practice of The Presence of God by Brother Laurence or The Imitation of Christ, by Thomas A Kempis. They are Christian classics. You may find them useful.

This was very interesting - the 'born again' theme presented in a different way. Jesus often spoke about our hearts, but only twice, once in Matthew and once in Luke, did He refer to our souls.
