How To Get Rid Of the Limiting Beliefs

Updated on January 18, 2011

Many times, it happens that we feel vulnerable and prone to all the negativity around us. Certain circumstances, situations and events keep on coming to us in a way, which may make us feel that somewhere something is definitely conspiring against us. We feel weak from within and powerless, looking at those conditions, and at our helplessness to cope up with them. Have you ever thought, why such things happened at the first place? And, now when they have happened, is there any way to make them proper, and change them to the way we want them to happen?

The answer is - Yes! Regardless of whatsoever negativity we are surrounded with, or our limiting beliefs; we still have the power to change things, power to manipulate the circumstances that will come in our lives, power to manifest the outcome we truly desire from the core of our hearts. When our past beliefs can result in what we have in present, our present beliefs, if programmed in a right way, can definitely alter our results in future.

There are various techniques evolved by the spiritual gurus that are easily available today and can be learned too, like Ho'oponopono technique, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) etc.

I particularly find the easiest way, which I read somewhere long time back when I was a child. It was called - Mind-Switch Method. It was just a game that time, but I tried it on many other things and now I’ve acted on it since quite a long time. To my delight it has always proven to be extremely effective. I don't know, what is the science that goes behind it. But, it surely works and here I am going to tell you how to work with it. It is extremely simple, doesn't require much of your time, efforts or resources. You don't need to do any meditation, or chant anything. All you need is a pen and a blank sheet of paper:

1) Divide the paper into two halves

2) On the left hand side of the sheet, write down all the grim realities that are troubling you at the moment, right from the most troublesome one to the minuscule thing.

3) Now on the right hand side, just opposite to every point, write down the ways you want that particular problem to get rectified to. This is actually the trick, i.e. overcoming the limiting beliefs and replacing them with what we want our subconscious mind to perceive.

4) Tear the sheet, to separate both the halves.

5) Keep the right hand side of the list in your pocket, and read it whenever you get time to read.

6) Scrap the left hand part of the list by turning it into pieces, or burning it off.

What we did here is, we first spotted the energy of the negative thoughts and beliefs that were somewhere deep into our subconscious mind. We acknowledged them and brought them forth. Next, what we did was, we converted the negative energy of those beliefs into the positive one, and removed every single instance or trace of the thing that emitted the negative energy from anywhere around us. This is a great exercise in raising the vibrational frequency.

We all know that energy can not be destroyed, and it can only be transformed from one form to another. What we did in above exercise is, we converted negative energy into positive energy.

Just remember, tuning our Subconscious mind with beliefs doesn't require much of science or meditative techniques. Small kids do it more easily, because their minds are free from any limiting beliefs. If negative thoughts can get programmed so easily, so can the positive thoughts too. You just need to know, how to do it.

Help me know you better :)
