Love the Greatest Weapon
The Bllue Ridge Mountains
Love is our greatest weapon against evil!
God's love in us is our greatest weapon against evil.
We live in an ever increasingly evil world. Islamic insurgents, American Islamics will kill innocent men, women, and children at their will. Headlines in any paper paint a bleak picture of what lies ahead for our global citizens, many who have turned their backs on God.
Only thirty-six percent of Americans now believe the Bible to be true. What? That means sixty-four percent do not believe the Bible to be true. God cannot be pleased with this attitude.
On another subject, the government has made it harder for the average citizen to acquire a gun while the criminals, gangs, and organized crime can acquire guns without the government requirement anytime of any day. Do not think taking guns from everyday people will keep them out of the hands of criminals.
It is foolish to think that way. After all, organized crime helps keep the average population in check through fear. Paul says of the Christian, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1.7)
We are in the midst of warfare between the material world and the supernatural world which is by far the superior of the two, the subject of which stands not preached very often. (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)
Where preached, not too many Christians will even acknowledge we are in a war. However, if one understands the supernatural created the material world, should it not stand to reason? Christians are “more than conquerors” in this battle. (Romans 8.37)
God's Delay
Meantime God delays judgment so that many of the unbelievers will realize their errors and turn back to the God who created them and everything we know and see.
There are literally millions who fear what the future holds for themselves and their families, especially their children. It truly is frightening the lack of knowledge of the Word of God and what He has planned.
Many have made goals and hopes for the future that includes world peace, prosperity, and nations getting along better. While those pursuits are worthy, it is not the roadmap of God. Things will get worse, much worse, and is.
To disagree with this position is to ignore the obvious and believe the god of this age whose name is Abaddon, Beelzebub, the Evil One, Lucifer, and the King of Babylon.
One overlooked truth, found in the Bible, is unsaved mankind of today lives under the control of Satan and his legion of demons. Where ever evil erupts God's love is greater. It has become not popular to say this, in fact, they may call me a nut or whatever. I do not really care.
However, so be it. Yes, I realize it is politically incorrect to say mankind instead of humanity. Political correctness plagiarized the Word of God. Christians do not need political correctness to be polite, caring, non-judgmental, and loving to everyone we meet. The lost, the atheist, the agnostic, the Satanist, and the hurting and confused need Jesus Christ.
Double for Your Trouble
God Will Give You Double For Your Trouble
Before that which precedes the famous Romans verse, for the myopic, it reads,
“Who shall ever separate us from Christ's love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword? Even as it is written, For Thy sake we are put to death all day long; we are regarded and counted as sheep for the slaughter. [Psalm 44:22]
Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him who loves us. I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Amplified Romans 8.35-39)
A series of verses for and about Christians who have turned their life over to Jesus Christ. Have you? It was comforting for the coming persecution that Paul, Peter, and the others faced then which we are facing more and more now. Persecuted simply for their belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The reason the average Christian feels as if they are being mistreated or persecuted by the followers of Satan is that they do not believe they can hold up to that mistreatment or persecution and show the love of Christ Jesus.
If Christians do what our Father has asked them to do, He will always bring justice in our life. If evil has hurt you, God will give you double for your trouble. You can count on this.
It was David who said, “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. [Psalm 23:3, 4]
The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, endure forever–forsake not the works of Your own hands. [Psalm 57:2; Philippians 1:6]
Right in the midst of our trouble, we are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ. (Psalm 138.7-8) Do not wait till troubles are over to call on the name of our Father. When it is happening scream out the name of Jesus Christ and be proud of it.
Many Christians have the wrong mindset. If our minds are full of the Words of God contained in the Bible than what we think about are the things of God. You will learn our most effective weapon against Satan and his darkness in the world is Jesus Christ's love.
If we love all His creation then we do not demonize them, nor think we are the better, or spiritual elite. His eternal love is the great gift God gave us. This is especially true during difficult times.
So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.” (2 Thessalonians 2:13 - 3:5; Ephesians 6.10-24)
